Pearl Street end farce 14:56 - Mar 9 with 3290 viewsonedalefan

Can't sit in our season ticket seat in section V. No issue for last few games when visitors in Pearl St as well. Suddenly today, can't sit there even the dividing sheet is in the same place. How to annoy season ticket holders.

It is symptomatic of a club that no longer give a damn about fans - or paying customers - or whatever. Nobody should have agreed to do what they did in the Pearl Street yesterday and move fans without notice. The 20 or so Oxford City fans seemed very unthreatening to me. We are a business that is at the end of its life, that is jaded, that has lost the plot. Yesterday they also closed the only tunstile into the mainstand where a young lad used to scan the season cards so that the elderly fanbase didn't get caught in the turnstile trying to use the bar code scanner. It caused chaos. It probably saved £15 - but showed we no longer care.

We need people in the Board room / executive that really understand the fan base, the commercial customer, the sponsors and do all they can to make them feel welcome and valued. We've been missing that for some time. We can only hope that new owners get it and that they invest as heavily in the infrastructure and capability of the club as much as they do the team. Or they embrace volunteers and local businesses to do it for them. I want the old Team Rochdale back

When Wealdstone visited, they had a lot more fans who spent most of the time singing and getting behind their team and no issues with where we sat and no stewards in between. Yesterday stewards all up the steps as Oxford had 26 people who mainly just sat there and enjoyed the game!
Stewards even stopped one of our fans who was leaving with 5 minutes to go sitting on the wrong side to talk to someone else.

Have today received this answer.

> You are entirely correct that block V season ticket holders should indeed be able to take their seats, regardless of whether away supporters are in Pearl Street or not. Our Stadium Manager and Safety Officer will be passed a copy of this email to ensure this is acted upon.

Lets see what happens tomorrow.
