That's where our new ground will be.

Really? How do you know?

Would be the perfect site as there's plenty of room.

I saw someone on WATRB say this 3 weeks ago. Ted has links to the construction industry so money on.

Well I was told today that plans are soon to be submitted, there is an issue over Highway's at the moment to 'iron out'

Anyway that's the deal as I was told, I don't normally do this sort of stuff so If It don't happen come back and crucify me, I'll still get to sleep at night.

I've checked the Hammersmith & Fulham planning applications and nothing on there as yet.

Still easily walkable from White City station. East Acton would be closer but the platforms are very narrow - would be a nightmare if 450000 tried to get in...

Nice one Ted. We all want to stay within the area.

AS I have said several times, it makes lots of sense from a planning point of view, with all the regeneration around HS2 and Crossrail proposed to the north. It will provide even better transport links and clients for the hotel and conference centres that will be in the package.

Which is where to think I've been driving since 1984 and have never come in via the A40. I still park in the same street of the goldhawk R's I was 28 years ago

I don't remember the full details, but this site was previously mooted some years back and the hospital objected. If I remember rightly it was about traffic, mainly the issue that the crowds could hold up ambulances.

Have a feeling that the prison may have objected too, but not certain.

anyone else recall the issues?

It could be called The New Gun Club.

Isn't the hospital losing its A+E, and therefore majority of its ambulances? (Scandalous BTW)

What Ted has stated ties in with information I was told about early in the Flavio years, when he commissioned a company called KSS to do a feasibility study on the most suitable area for a new ground. The only site that was considered suitable was the Linford Christie stadium, and that despite the stadium requirements being more modest in size than what is being planned by TF.

And QPR held their open days there in the early 70s.
