42 points is just a number picked out of the air. All that is important is being above the bottom 3, it could easily be that 30 points might be adequate this season. We need to carry on picking up points, 10 since HR has been in charge and little by little make ground on those above. | |

Exactly. It's irrelevant! Think the lowest pts total to stay up was 34?? It'll change every season. But all we need to worry about is the small target of 5pts to get us out of the drop zone. If we can reduce that defecit by 1pt a week, and on current form we could do, then we could be out of the bottom 3 by March!
Even after todays results. Other teams will drop points and take points off each other. And even tho' we're bottom, form shows that over the last 8-9 games, we're comfortable mid-table. Keep that form going and we should be ok.

i think we will end up on 34 points where that leaves us only time will tell
