Quid a kid vs the Gas âš½ 18:53 - Jul 12 with 158 viewsROTTWEILERS

We’re all set to kick-off a new era at Bloomfield Road on Saturday 3 August — and we want you and your friends to be part of it!

The visit of Bristol Rovers for our Sky Bet League One opener will be the club’s first competitive game under the ownership of Simon Sadler, while Simon Grayson returns to the dugout for a second spell as manager.

To mark the occasion, we’re giving season ticket holders the opportunity to purchase a maximum of four discounted match tickets to bring along additional friends and family.

This special offer will see £5 deducted off the price of standard area match tickets for adults, seniors (65+) and those aged 17-21*, or £4 for children aged 16 and under.

What’s more, we’re even running a ‘kids for a quid’ promotion for youngsters aged between 5 and 11, while under-5s attend free with a paying adult or senior. Please note this does not apply to Blocks L & N.

To purchase discounted match tickets for friends and family members, please visit the ticket office now or call 01253 599745.

There’s never been a better time to reintroduce your friends to Blackpool FC.

*Concessions must be of relevant age prior to 31 December 2019. Proof of age required when purchasing.

**Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult or senior when attending matches at Bloomfield Road.

Agree good news. Hope they do these sort of offers through the season.

Need to look to the future & the POTG fans now. We've got slightly too fixated on Season Ticket numbers.

I'm no longer vexed about not being able to afford STs. In fact, I'm starting to see it as a blessing in disguise. Pick and choose, have the midweek night games off, go to more away. Attending every home game was starting to become a test of fortitude at the end of last season. Not enjoyable.

That’s good news. Would be nice to have sell out first game of the season.

We’ve got Simon Sadler

A good opponent to start with. But we don't have the best record against the Gas, historically, do we?

Icon? It's all Rio Ferdinand's fault.

Remember when they came here in droves, they got promoted, we were down, last game of the season. They won 3 - 0 iirc.

BBTRR

Holloway played for them that day. They got promoted with Brizzle City, of all teams. 5,000 Gas Heads, taking the p***. 1990?

89/90 season sounds right. Never wanted a game to end so much at the time. Think Mullen was manager that season, but might have been sacked by that game. Was in the South Paddock, felt like an away game.
