Paul Anderson joins Marcos Painter on the return list for Carlisle

Painter is expected to take his place in a back line still reeling from Bournemouth's two late goals on Saturday with Kevin Austin likely to be the man to miss out.   Anderson though may have to be content with a place on the bench as he looks for his first league start since January when he was injured in the goalless draw with Nottingham Forest.

"I'll be delighted to get myself back in the team and be a part of the final promotion push,'' declared Painter on the club's official website. "But that will be down to the manager.

"I'm in the travelling party and up for selection. It's another big game and I know the lads are glad we've got an early chance to bounce back from our disappointing result against Bournemouth on Saturday.

"It was a strange feeling. I could see the scores as they were coming in with 10 minutes to go. That was frustrating enough as Carlisle and Doncaster scored late on.

"But you could also see our fans starting to celebrate with a minute to go, only for a lapse in concentration to turn the mood on its head as we lost it.

"Hopefully we can put that right against Carlisle. We've bounced back before and I don't see why we can't do it again.

"It's not going to be easy. Carlisle have a great home record and they wouldn't be where they are if they were a bad side.

"With the two teams battling for promotion and the title, there will be everything to play for.

"We are confident we'll get over the line eventually though. From what everyone tells me Swansea always do things the hard way.

"But as far as I'm concerned, it's a case of when not if."

Kick off at Brunton Park is 7.45pm Tuesday.
