Brexit just isn't a factor in this election. The only game in town is getting rid of the Tories. That's it. Anything more is just window dressing.

Who's going to buy him? Can't see a Champ side going for him, that leaves L1 or abroad and a few hundred grand at most.

This is the tragedy, that for the last 20 years QPR have been watching slack-jawed as the run down ex light industrial acreage in the area has been gradually redeveloped with a very predictable rocketing in values. I drove down the West Cross Route last week for the first time in ages and at one point was presented with a view that momentarily made me think I'd taken a wrong turn and ended up in downtown Miami. And we're still playing in a dilapidated shed.

Anyone want to take a stab at a Venn diagram of pub queues and flat-roofed pubs?

That looks grim. A level of ambience and comfort on a par with an iron curtain era Romanian orphanage. And a merch counter. That has found the limits of my liberalism, because you can definitely fck off with your merch counter.

Switch left and right around and you'd be bang on.

There is no serious left wing political party in the UK. Even the Greens are essentially a fairly traditional social democratic party with an environmental add on. The LibDems are centrists and Labour under Starmer is a centre right party barely distinguishable from Cameron's Tories. That's all based on policies rather than rhetoric.

In what way are we supposed to believe that privately educated multi-millionaires are anti-establishment?

It's just part of the con - Farage, Tice, Sunak, Johnson and the rest of them are essentially the same, privileged spivs, grifters and con men jostling for a space at the trough.

Transfer rumours 2024
at 15:03 10 Jun 2024

The funniest/most disturbing part of that was some of the people who had seen the circulated rumour pushing back on being told that it was a deliberate bs rumour made up on LfW to prove the point.

Extremely unlikely, I think. The country can't be without a PM so what would be the process to pick a new one? There would have to be a new leadership election and then Parliament would have to be reconvened for a vote of confidence. And there are 24 days to the election.

A marquee signing in a tent. The OP is having us on, I fear.

That looked like just what it was - a team with a lot of newcomers that's woefully underbaked.

I was wondering if the having it large stories might have something to do with Grealish staying at home, that feels like something that would influence Southgate.

Bicycle stolen from work: Advice needed

Better than a poke in the eye. I always lock my bike if I leave it out of reaching distance, never mind eyesight.

Think about getting a used bike, lower value, less nickable.

I think I'd put money on Eze being in the squad after that. Showed the form he finished the season in. Think Grealish will be in too. They should both be in ahead of Maddison and Gordon.

Anyone else get a flashback shudder at seeing C. Palmer on the England teamsheet?
