Happy League 2015/16 Week 34 (of 38) - Deadline Easter Monday 15.00 18:33 - Mar 19 with 2535 viewsmfb_cufc

Week 33 Results

CHELSEA 2 WEST HAM 2

Fabregas scored a free-kick and a late penalty, as Chelsea come from behind twice to earn a point, and remain unbeaten in the League under Hiddink. There were 3 who had this spot-on, with 5 getting the outcome.

CRYSTAL PALACE 0 LEICESTER 1
A single Mahrez goal is enough to give Leicester a fourth 1-0 win in their last five games. A popular win for the Champions elect, with 4 getting this spot-on, and another 14 having the outcome.

WATFORD 1 STOKE 2
Only two wins in their last 13 matches for Watford, after this defeat. A bit of a surprise that nobody got this spot-on, and only 3 had the outcome.

WEST BROM 0 NORWICH 1
Norwich secure their first win in 11 games, and kept a clean sheet away for the first time this season. Not such a surprise that nobody had this spot-on, and just the 2 got the outcome.

SOUTHEND 1 GILLINGHAM 1
Wordsworth scores again for Southend, as Gillingham come from behind to get a draw.
There were 4 who got this spot-on, and 5 had the outcome.

WALSALL 2 COLCHESTER 1
Walsall score two goals in the last five minutes to beat the professional losers. All so predictable this season. Mixed feelings for the 4 who had this spot-on, and the 11 who got the outcome.

With minutes to go in the games we were heading for five away wins, but late goals from Chelsea and Walsall changed that. In fact that goal from Chelsea got burnsieespana a handy 3 points, to go with the Southend 1-1, on his way to a very good 7 points. Not enough to be this weeks top scorer outright though. An honour he has to share with Tropical_Us, who had the wins for Leicester and Walsall spot-on. Another member to get the same two spot-on was thrillseeker, for a good 6 points.
In the Premier, just the three outcomes for leader BFG, but enough to increase his advantage, as his nearest pursuers only manage a point each. The in form person of this league is former double Champion mfb_cufc, and another solid week moves him up to his highest position this season, and in sight of the Charity Shield spots. Something that has looked unlikely all season. Though everybody down to thrillseeker in ninth, are just one good week away from being involved in the Charity Shield mix.
In Division One, for the fourth week running burnsieespana gets a mention in the top scorers spot, and this has helped him turn the screw at the top of this league. A 10 point lead now, in what is turning out to be a brilliant first season. A decent week for Tropical_Us, has again given him every chance of making the other automatic spot. It is still just as tight for the play-off spots as well, with gerry_us moving up a place, and being the latest to join the issue.
Just five weeks and 42 games to go now, but with Weeks 34, 37 and 38, being 10 game ones, there is still plenty of points to play for.

THE TABLES (238 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)

Gunnerjosh and s.sutton87 have been expelled from Division One.

Week 34 Fixtures Not a great week to be having a guest pick 10, with it being an International break week and Easter. With only three games being played on the Saturday, I thought about having fixtures for Good Friday, but with many liking to predict on a Saturday, it is only right that this weeks guest Gate16 should select 10 games for EASTER MONDAY.

BURY v GILLINGHAM
CREWE v BRADFORD
DONCASTER v BLACKPOOL
OLDHAM v CHESTERFIELD
MILLWALL v BURTON (19.45)
AFC WIMBLEDON v PORTSMOUTH POSTPONED Due to a waterlogged pitch.
CAMBRIDGE UNITED v OXFORD UNITED
CARLISLE v BRISTOL ROVERS
MANSFIELD v NORTHAMPTON
STEVENAGE v YEOVIL POSTPONED Due to International call ups. Yes, really. Three Stevenage players called upto the Northern Ireland Under-19, and Under-21 squads. Week 35 will now be a 8 game week.

Good luck everybody.

Are you lot finally caught up? We had our spring forward in spring (in autumn, fall back) two weeks ago. So it's been a 4 hour time difference lately.

10:25 a.m. now in Washington. Is it 14:25 in Colchester or 15:25?

Poll: In Daniel's PL, Sector4 is top, I'm 2nd or 3rd depending on the update

For anyone who ever thinks "Why should I join the Happy League when I have to start in Division 1?"--

1. Two are automatically promoted to the Prem.
2. 4-6 are in the playoffs, meaning that 7, 8, 9,10, maybe 11, have something to play for all season long.
3. The Happy Cup, which if you win, qualifies you for the Charity Shield.
4. Wessex Champions League, top 12 overall in another elite comp on The U'sual. Top 12 regardless of Prem or D1... win the CL. Nothing wrong with that.

This Happy League is nearing its close, but lets get another 3-5 for 16/17 in D1.

The Prem has the Champ, and the Charity Shield and relegation... In D1 we have the D1 Champ, 2nd promoted automatically, the playoffs, the Champions League, the Happy Cup.

There is Nuttin wrong being in D1. Join in ... D1 is full of champions and trophy winners over a decade or more. There is nothing lacking in D1.

D1 is full of champions from every spectrum. Gerrintherrre. Cheers.
