Is Chair on his way back and safe ? 09:23 - Sep 6 with 3440 viewsswisscottage

Does anyone know what's occurring with the Morrocan national side, and whether the players are safe and on their way back to their teams?

I hope Ilias is safe and sound.

Maybe inappropriate to say, .. but I suppose with the game postponed and if the players are one their way back a day early, it will hopefully mean he starts on Saturday.

We can't afford to lose any players to coups at this time of the season.

They were on their way to the airport, I assume they've flown out now.

Another monumental Fifa f*** up .
A few coups or construction worker deaths are nothing to them!!
Apparently the Moroccans could clearly hear gunshots from their hotel room.
Great way to prepare for a weekend fixture.

To be fair to FIFA they couldn't predict there would be a coup in Guinea when Morocco were in the country. They called the game off when it happened.

They should know if there is a politically sensitive environment though but to cancel would have meant them becoming involved in Politics. Sometimes they should.

Everyone is involved in politics, it might be they are just at the personal political view of me myself and I. Which is fine. But it might be more macro as that also affects people directly too.

This idea that you can keep the way people wish want, desire to have others behave and which can somehow be kept from politics is Lala land. Especially extolled by people who are often heard saying "why does it have to be so political, please turn off the noise" which translates as "why can't you be a docile lemming and just accept the status quo which probably harms you".

Proof of it involves everyone, is this board, supposed to only be about QPR and only that, yet when there are guns in the boardroom and millions changing hands and you cannot get through to the box office, it will get political regardless of whatever so-called quiet life you may desire.
