Week 31 results

ASTON VILLA 4 SOUTHAMPTON 0

Villa produced a magnificent all-round display to win consecutive Premier League games for the first time since November and end Southampton's six-match unbeaten run. Nobody got this spot-on, but 15 did have the outcome.

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS 0 CRYSTAL PALACE 2
Wolves' European hopes suffered a further blow as they slipped to a third successive Premier League defeat. Nobody had this spot-on, and only 2 got the outcome. 19 predicted a win for Wolves.

PRESTON NORTH END 2 AFC BOURNEMOUTH 1
Preston came from behind to beat Championship promotion chasers Bournemouth, courtesy of Emil Riis Jakobsen's 89th-minute winner. Only 2 got this spot-on, and nobody had the outcome. 23 predicted a win for Bournemouth.

QUEENS PARK RANGERS 1 CARDIFF CITY 2
Cardiff were another team to come from behind to win and dent Queen's Park Rangers' promotion hopes. Well done to BFG for being the only one to have this spot-on, and nobody got the outcome. 22 predicted a win for QPR.

CHARLTON ATHLETIC 0 SUNDERLAND 0
Sunderland slipped out of the League One play-off places after they were held to a goalless draw at struggling Charlton, who had lost their previous five games. Another game with no spot-on, and only 2 had the outcome. 19 predicted a win for Sunderland.

CREWE ALEXANDRA 1 WYCOMBE WANDERERS 3
Wycombe get a win which moved them back into League One's top six, in Gareth Ainsworth's 500th game in charge. Only 2 had this spot-on, and a further 19 got the outcome.

LINCOLN CITY 3 SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 1
Lincoln turn the formbook upside down, as they had lost their previous three and Wednesday had won seven of their previous eight. Another game with no 3 pointer, though 5 did have the outcome. 20 predicted a win for Wednesday.

PLYMOUTH ARGYLE 2 MORECAMBE 0
Play-off chasing Plymouth get a win to bounce back from successive League One defeats. A massive 10 had this spot-on, and another 13 got the outcome.

PORTSMOUTH 4 ACCRINGTON STANLEY 0
An incredible game where Portsmouth play with 10 men for 69 minutes and score with their only 4 shots on target. Accrington have 25 shots without success. Yet another game with no 3 pointer, but 22 did have the outcome.

ROTHERHAM UNITED 1 MILTON KEYNES DONS 2
MK Dons were yet another team this week to come from behind to win, and they did it playing with 10 men for 66 minutes, A final game this week with no 3 pointer, though 2 did get the outcome. 22 predicted a win for Rotherham.

To say this week was a disappointment would be an under statement. When Colchester get a first home win since November, you know anything is possible, and the Happy League results showed that today. Every game had a strong fancy in it, but six failed to read the script, and with two 4-0's from those who did, it was left to the Plymouth 2-0 to save the week from being a total disaster on the 3 pointer front. On a tough week for 3 pointers one member did weel to have two, that was bwildered, who had the wins for Plymouth and Wycombe, and one outcome to give him a decent 7 points. That was only enough to give him a five-way share of being the weeks top scorer, with the best of those who got one 3 pointer. They were Daniel and MrHappy2, who had the Preston 2-1, and thrillseeker, who had the Plymouth 2-0, and finally BFG with his good Cardiff 2-1 prediction. Another opportunity for big points passes by again this week, and that means there are just 7 weeks and 54 games to go now this season.

In the Premier By having the Plymouth 2-0 spot-on TheFatGooner maintains his 6 point lead. It is now from concordman, who also had the Plymouth 2-0 spot-on, and completes a good day for him, after his earlier Happy Cup success, by moving up to a season high second place. Three outcomes for RSCOSWORTH, as he drops to his lowest position since Week 3. Four outcomes for unitedwhites keeps him safely in the final Super Cup spot. As for the rest of the division, it was another week of very little change. By having the Plymouth 2-0 spot-on, Sector4 put a bit more daylight between him and the bottom three, and Daniel improved his chances of escaping with his decent week.

In Division One The decent score for thrillseeker kept him top for a second successive week, and increased his lead by a point from blueeagle, who was another to benefit from getting the Plymouth 2-0 spot-on, as he moved back into the other automatic spot. Up another two places, and into a season high third, is BFG, after his decent week. Despite having the Wycombe 3-1 spot-on, Lewis_1 drops to fourth, the lowest he has been since Week 18. Also dropping a place, but only on the first to post rule, is Tropical_Us, despite getting the Plymouth 2-0 spot-on. Up two places, and into the final play-off spot for the first time since Week 17, is MrHappy2, after his decent week. Little change in the rest of this league, with the highlight being bewildered moving up to his highest position since Week 9.

THE TABLES (226 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
