Did we send Charles Sagoe back too soon? 21:06 - Oct 28 with 1965 viewsAnotherJohn

Starred in Arsenal U21's 4-3 defeat at Exeter tonight with a goal and an assist. Looked head and shoulders above the rest of the Arsenal youngsters.

Looked petrified every time he had the ball here. Poor coaching maybe, but he did himself few favours.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Couldn’t cut it at Shrewsbury last season, played five times and recalled.

May well be correct, and I wasn't impressed with the little I saw of him on loan with us, but the commentators were raving about him last night. He stood out as the danger man, so I thought it was worth a mention.

He was also star man v Newport last month. Most Swansea prospects are slow burners. Cotterill Congreve Lloyd. Sam Parker is more explosive. Josh Thomas has disappeared.

He was given the ball often deep in our half with his back to the to the opposition defenders and with absolutely no oncoming midfielder asking for the ball or other midfielders to far beyond him because we are chasing the games pressing forward expecting him to turn while being tightly marked leaving us static in the midfield and not suppling options to the player on the ball. We have seen our wide men in exactly the same position, Ronald and Key and similarly recently Inoussa amd Galbraith the flanks stifled as we don't get enough movement in effort to remain in possession of the ball or as has been seen recently we play the long ball, without support being in place or joining the forwards quickly.

I wouldn't dispute any of that.

One of the more obvious issues with our wide play in recent seasons which the biggest critics of players like Eom, Ronald etc are clearly incapable of noticing is how deep they generally get the ball. Inoussa looked so good against Man City in large part because he actually received decent, early service for once.

Sagoe did look terrified every time he received a pass though.
