Should it be 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 for a (welcome) change 22:41 - Oct 11 with 309 viewsdurham_exile

Stevie G scored a hattrick for the reserves today to remind JW that he is fed up of sitting on the sidelines.

Problem is JW prefers a 4-5-1 approach to the game.

Kayode Odejayi is definitely playing the best football that I have seen him play since signing for Colchester - in fact he has been in imperious form.

So where can JW accommodate Stevie G?

And what is our preferred line up?

Williams or Cousins
White or Wilson
Magnus and Rio or Heath
Coker or Rose

Antonio or Vincent
Henderson or Woody
James or Izzet
O'Toole or Bond
Doogie or James

Odejayi or Stevie Gillespie

Personally I would consider a 4-4-2 for saturday:

Cousins
Wilson, Magnus, Rio, Coker
Antonio,Bond,O'Toole, Woody
Gillespie, Odejayi

with the old reliable 4-5-1 a close second:

Cousins
Wilson, Magnus, Rio, Coker
Antonio,Bond, O'Toole,Henderson, Woody
Odejayi

One thing is sure, Gillespie will convert chances that Odejayi makes.

Of course when Antonio goes back to Reading, unless we can sign him permanently in January, then Vincent will return to the team in his place.

I would be interested to learn what others think about tactics and Stevie G!
