Cresswell to Get New Deal Thursday, 20th Oct 2011 11:37 by TWTD.co.uk Town boss Paul Jewell has revealed that left-back Aaron Cresswell is set to be offered a new contract. The 21-year-old has made a huge impression since joining the Blues from Tranmere in the summer when he signed a three-year deal. Jewell said: "He came in at the start of the season from Tranmere and I told him to prove himself and then we would have a look at his deal. "He's done great, there's no doubt about that, but I don't want him to get comfortable. We want to reward him because he's done well. He's a great lad and he loves it here. "We're just looking to give him something slightly improved and I think Cressy has earned the right to have a pay rise." A tribunal recently set the compensation due to Tranmere for the Liverpool-born full-back at an initial £240,000 rising to £520,000 after various milestone clauses.
