Fox Provides The Ammo For Scotland Thursday, 16th Aug 2012 10:37 Danny Fox that fine Winsford Cheshire born Scot, turned in a solid performance in his return to the International scene. Danny Fox made a fine return to Scotland's colours in a 3-1 win against Australia at Hibernian's Easter Road ground. Initially it went badly for our Caledonian cousins as they fell behind to the Aussies, firstly Fox cleared off the line although it had a strong suspicion of handball attached to it, but as the visitors protested, Brusciano got on with play and hit a Le Tisseque shot into the top corner for the lead. But Scotland's equaliser owed much to Fox, he got down the left and put in one of his trademark crosses into the are of the box thats just too far for the keeper to come and claim and also catches the defence on the back foot, Jordan Rhodes headed home. In the second half, what turned out to be Scotland's winner was also down to Fox, again he got in a telling cross, but this time it was the Aussie sub Davidson who got his head to it and put it past his own keeper. All in all a good return to the Scottish ranks for Fox who will surely hope that now he is back in the Premier League spotlight he can keep his place in the side for the upcoming World Cup qualifyers.
