Swans Set To Complete Striker Signing

The Swans are being reported as being set to make their latest summer signing in the next 48 hours with the capture of Botti Biabi from Falkirk.

The Falkirk Herald is reporting that Biabi has had a medical at the Liberty Stadium and that the move to South Wales is imminent.

Peter Houston confirmed the posiiton after his side’s 1-0 win over Raith Rovers, where Biabi was not present.

“He’s had his medical but that’s all we know at this stage,” said the Bairns boss. “But we do believe a deal is close.”

London-born Biabi joined Falkirk from amateur football in greater Glasgow and forced his way into the first team, coming off the bench in last season’s Scottish Cup final and winning the free-kick to level against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Last season, goals against runaway league leaders Hearts also prompted him to be called up to Ricky Sbragia’s Scotland youth set-up.

Nothing has yet been reported in the South Wales press about a move being completed but it does seem that we are about to strengthen our squads even more with the capture of a highly rated young talent
