Saints Scout Polish Teenage Sensation Wednesday, 17th Feb 2016 10:35 Saints are spreading their net behind the old Iron Curtain to scout a midfielder from Cracovia Krakow according to a media report. Club Call are reporting that Saints sent a scout to watch Cracovia Krakow's 19 year old midfielder Bartosz Kapustka at the weekend, watching him score in the game against Gornik Zabrze in a 3-0 win. According to the Club Call story the Saints scout was seen making notes after Kapustka scored the opening goal after 3 minutes of play and then watched him star in the victory, significantly the scout is alleged to have shut his notebook and left when Kapustka was substituted near the end of the game. Described as an attacking midfelder with an eye for goal although Saints have a plethora of central midfielders, they do not have anyone in this mould. Kapustka earned his first cap for the full Poland International side back in September, scoring on his debut and has since won another 2 caps and netted another goal. He is expected to be in the Poland squad for Euro 16 and is tipped to be one of the stars of the tournament for Poland. Turkish side Galatasaray are reported to have had a £3 million bid for the player turned down last month with reports that Kapustka himself did not fancy Turkey and would prefer a move to either England or Germany as his club prepare to cash in on him.
