Another Fisher on the horizon for Swansea City ?
Tuesday, 28th Mar 2023 08:00 by Swansea Independent

Swansea City’s search for a right back has taken a turn towards the London area with Kellen Fisher rumoured to be a target for the summer. A host of premier league clubs have taken a look at the eighteen year old this season but nothing has materialised.

We understand that the Swans have researched Fisher as well. Reports from a variety of sources have stated that Swansea have done a lot of work on Fisher whose club cleverly took the opportunity to develop him through loan moves since the age of sixteen.

The Bromley player progressed through the ranks via under eighteen and then under twenty three squads and has played twenty one games for his club this season ( including two FA youth cup games ) and signed a new contract in February. He has come to notice due to his mature handling of defensive situations under pressure this season and has converted to right back over the past eighteen months. Kellen is seen as a huge investment for Bromley and no doubt will move on to a successful professional career at a higher level. As Fisher said talking to Bromley’s media team recently. “We all want to play together and be successful, I love being with the boys and we really stick together. I love the bigger games and the pressure. The club trusts in youth. Playing for Bromley is a very proud moment for me, I’m buzzing”

Fisher will be on a Swansea list of many many players, some of whom have already been alerted to the clubs interest in them. Let’s hope this time we don’t see the bus pulling away when it’s too late and learn from the amateurish mistakes of January.

Swansea scouting is very good at this level. Snap him up. Wasiri Williams is doing the hard yards in Ireland and got into the Dundalk first team and should play over the summer months. Abdullai and Rushesha should go out there in my opinion . Rushesha has missed most of the last two seasons so should play over the summer somewhere in RoI or maybe Scandinavia.
