Just got a classic centre forward glancing header against Everton.

I really don’t understand why he hasn’t been starting more games. He’s an out and out goal scorer which is such an asset. Just shows, his first start for a while? And he’s made his point.

Haven't got sky so cant comment on how good his goals were, when fit he's a Premiership goal scorer give him half a chance in front of goal and the ball is goal bound.
His goal he scored for us at St Mary's was worthy of a candidate for goal of the season, back to goal receives the ball, turn-swivel and 'bang' the ball is in the net.
I love the bloke and miss him.
People yap crap about getting him back here on loan, LOL etcetera,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Two lovely headers. What’s so great about him is his movement. It causes nightmares for defenders. First goal h cut across defender at near post and bang, strong header in. Second goal he’s a bit further out, feints to run to near post but then just drops back a bit to lose defender slips in between the two centre backs and slots second header in.

Mind you the Everton defence have look atrocious.

And nor would he have been anyway. Absolute pie in the sky that there was even a fraction of a percentage of a chance.

Bare bones.

Can't argue with u there. Still delighted for him though. He is a legend.

It wasn't just his goals. His link up play was very good as well.

Unsworth really does look as if he has no footballing knowledge. Give him the job!

You'd have to say Everton are in serious danger of going down now. Another sad, completely lifeless performance on a weekend where Palace, West Brom, West Ham showed a bit of fight - and no new miracle managers on the horizon.

Legend? He was a good goalscorer for us for just over two seasons, who probably doesn't give our club a 2nd thought these days

Agreed. He was our goal scoring machine post Adel and Routledge but Legend is reserved for Bowles et al.

Delighted it's coming right for him, injury free he should be in the England squad. Love him to bits but Legend? No.

Clearly he's never coming back here for many reasons but if it was only the 100k a week standing in the way I wonder how much of that money we'd raise getting shot of Caulker, Washington, Sylla, Lualua, Goss, Ariel, JET and various others who carry a shirt number but not much else?

Hopefully finally getting their come uppance 24 years late after that borderline bent game with Wimbledon, last game of the 93-94 season. If Segers didn't take a bung that day he certainly played like he had.

Obviously we give him a second thought r otherwise we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Would have fancied myself for a goal against that defence but when he's got a point to prove and good service he's a guarantee for goals. The problem is he's not always hungry now he's exactly where he wants to be and coupled with his injury record, he can't maintain a run of games that will see him get the 20 goals a season he's capable of. Hope he stays fit and in that team now though, Saints have some lovely players and Chaz should be scoring for fun off the delivery from players like Ward-Prowse

Borderline?

That game ranks alongside a last day of the season match that Palace played in!

If we got rid of those players and then signed one player on a 100k a week instead then the club would want shooting for stupidity
