The Seasiders return to the venue of one of last season's most memorable away days looking to make it two wins from two.
But what can we expect from Stoke? I spoke to @PeteSmith1983 to find out about their start, their summer and their expectations.https://t.co/r4r8abOMwX

We were never good enough to have even a sniff of a chance.
It's early days and I don't usually panic under such circumstances but this pre season and the first 2 matches have got the warning bells ringing.
Our strikers can't play the lone role.
Midfield rolls over - it did under Critchley but that was deliberate so he could pack the defence.
Very little physical presence.
Something's got to change.
I'm not sure we're good enough / got the right players to play Appleton's system.
Blackpool have suffered their first defeat of the season in a lacklustre display at Stokehttps://t.co/snAP1lXiaO

The transfer window's not closed yet and we need some changes.
We had a terrible start in the L1 promotion season under Critchely but I wasn't worried. From the way we were playing and the general feeling around the club I knew we'd progress and things'd come right somehow.
The homeymoon perod or feelgood factor of being a progressive club on the up walked out of the door somewhere between Critchley leaving and Appleton being appointed.
Rosenior or even Brannagan would've resurrected this posituve feeling and kickstarted some momentum. I'm not getting that the players are in harmoney and buying into a new regime.
On the pitch there've been 1 or 2 decent fifteen minute periods in games but as it stands there's been precious little on show to suggest we're going to make a fist of it this season.
Learning to read clusters is not something your eyes do naturally. It takes constant practice.

Weve been pinned in our own half for most of the match against Reading and for 90 mins against Stoke when we're supposed to be agressive and attacking according to the manager.

A last thought is that we're rubbish without the ball.
We've got to be more agressive, upset the other team's rythmn, get in their faces to win the right to play.
Then we can turn it on a bit.
Appleton's philosophy is to be offensive and control games but we can't do that. We spend the vast majority of matches pinned back in our own half.
If it wasn't for Dan Grimshaw, Stoke would have scored three or four yesterday. Going forwards, Josh Bowler was the only one likely to make anything happen.
Away from those two, there were some surprisingly below-par performances.https://t.co/3Q1HE5FDLR
