I get that J O'B can be frustrating but surely what he does it not a bad thing? People phone up going on about this, that and the other and (from what I've seen) all he asks is for examples. Rarely can anyone give any. They're probably just repeating parrot fashion what they've read somewhere without actually any depth, just a headline type of knowledge base. What it illustrates is people don't really know much about anything.
An old boss at work was like this. I'd moan about something and she ask for examples. I usually struggled to give more than one or two and she'd just say "it's not really a problem, is it?". It usually wasn't, I was just being moany for moany's sake.

James O'Brien put it well in that Sunak will be awful, but at least in a conventional way.

Ah so she's leaking stuff on purpose to sort out issues within the conservative party?
She's either accidentally broken the ministerial code because and shouldn't be in that position hence the resignation. Or she's deliberately broken the ministerial code to make a point once again putting their party squabbles ahead of running the country. Either way I don't think she should be back so soon, at least have some respect for the public and pretend that she's had some time to reflect on it so you can argue she won't do it again.

In a nutshell!
The doctrine of individual and collective responsibility has long gone. I'd suggest the last one to properly adhere to it was Lord Carrington, following the invasion of the Falklands. Arguably Thatcher should have followed suit and resigned herself. As the head of the specific inner group she set up and presided over, with responsibility for the defence of British overseas territories, she was caught napping despite intel coming up from the South Atlantic that the Argies were planning to invade.
The gameplan these days does not expect there to be extended consequences, if at all, for transgressions in public office. A mere slap on the wrist, step down for a few months and await the reappointment. Mandelsohn was a classic case in point; three transgressions as I recall, and all resulted with him back in the fold in due course.
All of which supports the belief that Guy Fawkes was the last person to enter parliament with an honest intention!
