I’ve had a quick look online and it appears Hamas has its own flag and that the military wing of Hamas also has its own flag, both have green backgrounds, one has white writing on it while the other has writing and a few images on it. These flags are completely different to the Palestinian flag which is what Braverman was referring to.
I could envisage situations where displaying the Palestinian flag could result in a Public Disorder offences being committed, I can also envisage a situation where some would argue the waving of a Palestinian flag is merely showing support to a group people (the general Palestinian population and not Hamas) who are repressed etc etc by a powerful neighbour. People will draw their own conclusions and have their own views on this as evidenced in the other thread. The bottom line though is that the Palestinian flag is not an Hamas flag.
What’s happened in Israel is abhorrent, it’s so sickening it’s beyond comprehension. Hundreds, thousands of innocent people have been slain and many more will experience the same fate over the coming days. I wouldn’t be surprised if Iran had been involved in the background. | | | |
