Swansea City new boy Jordi Lopez believes that Paulo Sousa will help him get back to his best.

Signing a two year deal with the club this afternoon, the Spaniard was in attendance to support his new team-mates as the Swans ran out emphatic 6-1 winners against league of Wales outfit Neath FC at the Gnoll this evening.

Lopez will travel with the rest of the squad to Spain this week as pre-season preparations continue at a pace but one thing is clear, Sousa's exceptional man management skills were the vital factor in the 28 year old's arrival at the club as he told the WM, he said, “I’m very happy because this is a new challenge for me.Paulo was a big part of the deal to come here. We obviously know each other from our time at QPR so I know how he works and that was a big factor for me in accepting Swansea’s offer.”

In the stressful and temperamental inner workings of Loftus Road at former club QPR, Lopez feels that he now has the chance to get his career back on track and is hopeful that the Liberty Stadium faithful will see him play his best football, he added, “After difficult year for me, the way he treats the players will help me get back to my best and show something similar to the level I was at in Spain. I just hope the fans in Swansea get to see me at my best.”
