Former Dale loan player Danny Reet has spoken out in praise of Dale as an attacking force, just days before his Mansfield side come to Spotland.

Speaking to his local paper The Chad, Danny Reet has issued a warning of the ability that this Dale side possesses and is full of praise for the side that he spent a month on loan at during the 2006-7 season.

The loan move to Spotland saw Reet mostly on the bench and become fourth choice striker, much to the annoyance of Mansfield boss Billy Dearden, but it was clearly a loan spell that impressed Reet.

He told the Chad: "The majority of the team were there when I was there. And if they are going to concede a couple, they will try to score three at home."

"Away from home they are a different team. But at home they like to attack and all go forward at you. It will be very tough, but we have enough in our dressing room to get a result there.

"It is a nice family club where everyone is in it together, very like Mansfield really. They don't have masses of money to spend but what they have got they like to treat the players well and get behind them."

Reet won't be making the trip to Spotland this weekend, as he is currently on loan at Alfreton Town.

A full look back at Reet's time at Spotland can be read here.
