Thread of the Week - Savage's new car
Thread of the Week - Savage's new car
Wednesday, 5th Mar 2008 16:22

Well premiersheep certainly started something when s/he posted up about Savage's new car!

With little in the way of decent football to talk about, so much of this week's discussion has been about the latest transport and lifestyle of Robbie Savage.

The views expressed in the discussion which ensued were almost entirely contradictory. People were either outraged about the car or thought it really wasn't an issue to get wound up about as it was his own business.

The car - a £165,000 top of the range Mercedes decked out in black and white - made further news a few days later when a story emerged about Mr Savage picking up two fans en route to the match. Various stories have come out - including the fact that the daughter of the man picked up didn't know who Savage was! Another story was that his satnav had failed so he needed directions to the ground!

Either way, the new Savmobile has kept us entertained and the RamZone Message Board ticking over for quite a few days.

If we hadn't had Robbie's car to talk about then we might have been talking about the players allegedly being upset because Paul Jewell raged about them after the Wigan defeat and ran a 'boot camp' at Moor Farm in the subsequent days. Read more about it here.

Jewell got it right when he said that turning up at 9.30am and playing football until 3pm in fabulous surroundings is hardly a boot camp regime.

Other than discussing Savage, his car and bootcamps, the main topics of conversation this week have been about the chances of getting 15 points (very slim) so that we are not the worst Premiership team ever and about who will leave in the summer and who will be retained.

There's been quite a lot of new members signed up for RamZone in the last couple of weeks and it's good to see new names and good discussions once again.

Thanks to premiersheep for initiating the Thread of the Week and to all other posters old and new who have contributed to threads this week.
