It's been an ominously quiet week but the one thread that seems to have lasted for over a week is camelogue's point about 'star obsession'.

Some people think there is no problem with Robbie Savage running after Cristiano Ronaldo and almost heaving David Jones aside in a bid to obtain the Portuguese winger's shirt. Others feel it shows him to be a poor captain when he is star-struck by the opposition players. It made for a reasonable debate anyway in a week where very little happened until certain downmarket Sunday tabloids hit the streets.....

Certainly the indiscretions of Paul Jewell have led to two quite lengthy threads on the MB and thankfully they were both reasonable and considered.

Other than these issues - and yet another dismal defeat at Middlesbrough - it's been a very quiet week with very little to talk about.

It's just a case of seeing this season out really.
