Town trio Caolan Lavery (pictured), Josh Carson and Rory McKeown have been named in the Northern Ireland squad for a UEFA U19 Championships qualifying round mini-tournament in Germany which starts next week. Striker Lavery recently made his first appearances for Northern Ireland having previously played for Canada, the country of his birth.

Midfielder Carson and defender McKeown joined Lavery as the Northern Irish played two friendlies in Iceland as preparation for the mini-tournament, winning them both. Town midfielder Cormac Burke was also involved in those games but isn't in the current squad.

The Northern Irish take on Switzerland on October 8th, then the hosts on October 10th and then finally Andorra on October 13th. Northern Ireland U19s: Wayne Drummond - Glasgow Rangers, Gareth Deane - QPR, Adam Thompson - Watford, Liam Bagnall - Sunderland, Dean Jarvis - Aberdeen, Rory McKeown - Ipswich Town, Chris Hegarty - Glasgow Rangers, Daniel Devine - Preston North End, Seanan Clucas - Preston North End, James Stevens - Southend United, Joshua Carson - Ipswich Town, James Gray - Middlesbrough, Neil Dougan - Preston North End, Andrew Mitchell - Glasgow Rangers, Caolan Lavery - Ipswich Town, Liam McAlinden - Wolves, Jamie Douglas - Preston North End, Kirk Millar - Oldham Athletic.
