Wow! I don't even want to think how much a Pink Triangle or a Roksan would cost these days.

I don't know how many will brave their souls but I can't believe that people don't have them. Music makes me emotional, even Battle Without Honor Or Humanity will make me well up before kick off at times. Ones that will guarantee it for are...

I hesitated to include him as they are not songs in the conventional sense, but as a lyricist Marshall Mathers is right up there. IMHO Stan is as much a game changer as many more accepted holders of that acclaim.

Two proper earworms I often get, rather than songs I like popping into my head.

That was my point! Just because legislation was brought in to redefine the terminology does not mean that pensions aren't a paid for deferred salary. This was always a point in annual salary negotiations, that some of the company's profits would be used to fund the employers contribution, along with the employee, to provide for a pension upon retirement.
It is NOT a benefit no matter what the government says.

Pensions are NOT a benefit, they are a deferred salary. Paid into and paid for whilst at work.

A mark of the man. Breaking news, Starmer tried to hold back the result of the enquiry against Abbott until such a time it would be too late for her to stand as an independent. Someone inside leaked it to the media and now he is furious and ordering staffers to hand over their phones. He is a lying genocide enabler and I wouldn't be in the least surprised if somewhere down the line it transpires that he was parachuted into the Labour Party by the good folks inside 55 Tufton Street with a remit to purge the Labour Party of all aspects of socialism to make it appeal to traditional Tory supporters as the current Tories have made themselves unelectable and need a placeholder while they regroup.

Without appearing to be pedantic; both sides were fined for expense related excesses that breached the government's spending rules. Only one was charged with illegalities. I will be more than happy to see both the major parties drop out of existence as getting richer seems to be more important than serving the country to the current incumbents.
Incidentally, PoliticsHome is a conservative owned publication with Michael Ashcroft as the major shareholder. Unlikely to be an unbiased news source.

After having close contact with Marilyn throughout Stan's decline and descriptions of just what a hateful disease did to a legendary hero of ours I think I am going to come down on the side of heading the ball being phased out of football. I won't reveal details of what I was told but months before the end I was hoping he would die soon to spare both him his pain and his family the anguish they were suffering.
In mitigation; we have seen many changes in the game since I first starting watching and playing, mainly to do with protecting the players from serious injury and, as players and fans, we have adapted to these changes without too much complaint.
A factor in my decision was also the fact that many of us, and the professional players, have all learned to play 5-A-Side football and accepted that heading the ball was not allowed. No problem with allowing the ball above head height on a full size pitch as that isn't detrimental to health. Acceptance could take decades as there will be many of the old farts like me will bemoaning the good old days when football was a mans game etc. but I long ago stopped watching boxing and other sports with head impact involved as I was uncomfortable with watching people trying to give each other brain damage.
I have definitely got softer in my dotage but anything that would prevent what happened to Stan gets a big thumbs up from me.

You should take a look at Half Man Half Biscuit lyrics. They are the epitome of real life observations. Agree about Woody Guthrie very underrated.

Only one campaign had legal charges brought against them; Leave. The porkies seem to be standard fare from all politicians and II am not disputing that both sides used the ignorance and fear of the voters to attempt to sway the decision.

I also found this on Hansard site.
"The Attorney General
(Mr Geoffrey Cox)

The Crown Prosecution Service works closely with the police, including by providing early investigative advice, to consider 809 allegations of electoral fraud in accordance with the code of Crown prosecutors. The Crown Prosecution Service recognises the importance of protecting democracy, and all cases involving election offences are referred to specialist prosecutors within the Crown Prosecution Service’s special crime and counter-terrorism division.

Dr Huq
The Vote Leave campaign dropping its appeal is as good as its admitting the illegality and illegitimacy of the 2016 referendum result. When will electoral law breaking be treated as a serious crime? Will the Attorney General also ensure that there is a full, transparent, independent inquiry into the foreign funding of Nigel Farage’s new vehicle?

It will with that attitude. I'm not trying to turn this into a fight but your vote is necessary, even if it is a spoilt vote. A low turnout is about the only chance the Tory party have of not getting destroyed in the GE.
