On paper we may have a good enough squad or team for the premier league but for too many games we have played without fight or passion. Still I was shocked when pundits predicted we’d go down in Jan but now it seems real....gutted and shocked. Greedy board should be sacked for bastardizing the Southampton Way. Hopefully Ward Prowse stays , get Sims, McQueen, Reed &!Targett to stay and start again and stop wasting money on buying a squad job st filling their pockets with no desire or passion. We March On!

El Santo, very good applaud for highlighting nicks point from months ago regarding the desperate need for a center back. We do have a decent team who play decent football but you cannot concede 3 goals on a regular basis and expect to win matches. Puel realised the need for a safety first approach because of the lack of robustness at the back post injury to van tosser and Pellegrino was even more hamstrung by the Dutch dick not wanting to be at the club. Sparky has come in with little choice but to go for wins and because we do have quality in the team we can score despite not having a reliably fit striker. However the defence has been our undoing. Word of praise to saints fans yesterday - we played our part in us going 2-0 up. As for the rest of the match......

Would quite happily have taken a draw against Everton before the game.
Left disappointed that we hadn't taken all 3 points. That shows how much we have improved recently, even though I thought Everton were totally dire and looked like they wanted to draw against us.
Wish someone would teach Narsingh how to cross a ball. He can easily beat defenders when he wants to, but no end product or thought once he has.
Andre Ayew needs to learn to not be so selfish as well.

Easy to understand why Everton fans want rid of Fat Sam.
Glad, really glad some people on here didn't get their wish and have him here as boss after Clement.

I was glad to see Ward Prowse to be the first to be hauled off by Hughes. What a shocking waste of space that guy is. Hopefully Hughes & Co have rumbled him, can't tackle, can't run fast and can't head to save his effing life. However did he get to be a professional footballer? Hope he doesn't start again this season there should be no place for energetic headless chicken.

If he was the best of a bad bunch in that grad year of the Academy it speaks volumes about how bad the rest of them must have been, as it has now come to light.

Although we got a point l fear it could be to late,to many passes going astray again but we held on but not enough in front of goal again to think we would score the much needed goal.Still in with a chance but slowly slipping away from us.

I make that 8 'must win' games that we've failed to win

Why can't we give -10 for Prowse and Davis, pointless rubbish.
Romeu - 50, the most useless player ALL season. Long is no longer able to play football.
Slowest team out of defense in EPL history. Yoshida constantly keeping everybody onside.
No midfield. Hughes has got nothing to work with.

There should be a rating for Les Reed -100 would be my vote. He did not signed a striker at the start of the year, stuffed up the Van Dyke sale – which should have been done at the start of the year, stuffed up the coaching change last year, should have signed 2 good central defender, and should have signed a good Attacking midfielder (instead of Defensive midfielders). He has been horrible in every way, he should quit in shame … this has been his disaster
