| West Ham tickets on 10:50 - Dec 29 by Martin63 | 9,000 is the maximum allocation - I have been told that a lot of Rs have already bought hospitaility and home end tickets |
Most of the people I know did not get a ticket through the Rangers allocation. They will be in attendance though, having acquired them through West Ham.

| West Ham tickets on 02:08 - Dec 28 by stainrods_elbow | If the tickets were 10p, I wouldn't be going. Exactly why should I again? I saw Rangers at Wembley in 1982, and I wouldn't lower myself to the current attitude to the F A Cup. |
Is the Queens Park Rangers attitude to the FA Cup much different now than in your "halcyon" days of the 1980's? Perhaps we didn't make as many changes playing wise, but we did manage to be eliminated four seasons running by clubs in lower divisions. Three of which were in the third round by clubs at least two divisions below us. That doesn't suggest to me that we regarded the FA Cup as a priority. Crowds were on the low side as well, even in the season we reached the final. We achieved 12,000 for the 3rd round at home to first division Middlesbrough, 13,000 for the 5th round at home to Grimsby & only 24,000 for the 6th round with Palace which was 4,000 less than the previous year at home to Tottenham & well below capacity. I confess to not seeing any of the Middlesbrough or Blackpool games, but it was very easy to get tickets from then on as they were not in great demand. This applied to football in general & not just to Rangers. Not for the first time, I think your memory of that period is different from the reality!

| West Ham tickets on 09:42 - Dec 28 by Hayesender | On the plus side, those of you who missed out on tickets to this visual feast, will get another chance to go to that great big white elephant next season |
I don't think so Hayes it looks like they will be relegated,

| West Ham tickets on 14:12 - Dec 29 with 2050 views | DannyPaddox | I used to go to West Ham a lot when I was a kid having relatives in the area. In fact Upton Park was the first league ground I visited. I never once heard it called the Boleyn Ground. When did that start? | | | |

Indeed. I'd probably been in there a dozen time before I heard someone reference, at 'The Boleyn'. I'd say it's come into use since their fans knew it was going, because Upton Park is still there, just the stadium that's missing. [Post edited 29 Dec 2025 14:37]

That makes sense. Dissolution of the monasteries and the terraced standing areas.

There’s a huge Victorian pub called The Boleyn Tavern on the corner behind the old South Bank, both that and the Boleyn ground were central to West Ham’s identity. Upton Park was simply the location, but somehow ended up being more popular for a period, certainly that of the era most here grew up.

Funnily enough I was just thinking the same. Info received like you but no ticket. Presume they'll be emailed out this week.

| West Ham tickets on 23:45 - Jan 4 with 639 views | JamieNaz | If anyone can't make it, was supposed to get my little brother and my brother in law a ticket, but I was in Japan at the time and couldn't do it, and my usual crew all assumed it would be on sale for a while so didn't bother... | | | |
