| Ian Holloway Rant - Enjoy on 16:05 - Feb 2 with 1684 views | sdm1508 | He did a lot for our club. Kept it going somehow when we should have been finished. Without Ian Holloway, there is a very good chance that QPR doesn't exist today. However, he is turning himself into a bit of a laughingstock. He will be remembered as the slightly crazy manager who was good for a soundbite. His player, his captain was found guilty improper manner and/or used indecent behavior. Whether they are the facts or not, that was the result. He was banned. Yes, the FA could have informed Swindon sooner that the ban was being extended for one game as he played in the EFL cup. A mistake on Swindon's part. For Holloway to go on one of his now boring rants saying the player did nothing wrong his short of a disgrace. Ollie needs to remember why his player got the ban in the first place | | | |

Ollie wasn't protesting the ban, was he? He was raging against the late notification of it, as I understand it, which damaged his coaching preps. I love his passion, anger, and idealism, and don't see why he's a 'laughing stock' for one moment. Far rather that than the banal, corporate cliches I rage against myself from most managers before games and after them that you can only warm to if you lack passion yourself. *Edit - Just seen the BBC story reporting Swindon's disqualification for fielding TWO ineligible players - which I agree is not a good look. Claiming the punishment exceeds the crime! Only the two ineligible players used! One in the middle of a seven match suspension & using a substitute that wasn't named on the teamsheet. I suspect the club secretary is the main culprit, but the team manager must/should know of the suspension & have checked the teamsheet before it was handed to the officials. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

He was raging against the injustice etc. That all came about from how his captained behaved. In this case, maybe he should just keep quiet. I also believe if you ask a football fan (who has no affiliation to him) what do you remember him for, it will be soundbites and nothing more. Passion is good. However, why did this all come about. His captain couldn't keep his hands to himself.... Twice

He did very well to keep them up last season and even better to get them in the auto promotion positions this season. QPR legend and a very decent manager.
