Re 2. Yes I was there Channon scoring near the end virtually relegating them , I was 15 and yes I could see them coming round we didn’t hang about . One other thing you said we haven’t beaten them in the league there for 50 years that’s only because they’ve been so shit and been well below us we’ve hardly played them.

Yes they were poor hardly heard them from Itchen North. I thought our support was brilliant yesterday . The Northam was loud and I could see lots going on in the chapel from our lot although you can’t always hear them but we all know how Shyte the acoustics are.

As for the fence rattling as I walked past I could see just fans baiting each other through the fencing until police on horseback arrived and cleared the saints fans away. I did hear one copper got injured though.

Away - 1984 Steve Moran bang thank you goodnight.! There was no way back for them and it was the biggest spare I’ve ever had 9000 saints fans going absolutely mental I ended up on the floor about five rows down almost got crushed to death ffs😎 thisjust about beats Shane Long’s winner at Anfield to put us through to Wembley but not much in it. The second best away has to be in 1976 when Channon virtually relegated the skates but I have to admit as a 15 year old nipper I was bricking it especially seeing half the Fratton end make their way towards us at the end.


Home- the FA cup game at The Dell 1996 when we hammered them 3-0. I remember Jim Magilton scoring . The skates were as quiet as church mice up in the east stand upper.

I’m not sure what the urgency is ,what will be will be . Tonda just needs to go about his normal buisness as do the players. I don’t think the players are affected by the wait .I realise I might be in the minority here.

For me it’s The Cricketers . Just a great atmosphere on match days . I used to use this pub before games at The Dell so it kind of feels like home to me. I used to like The Belgian blues bar too also The Lion Bedford place is ok and 5 Rivers is good too before games.
