The question is though, next time Dale are awarded a penalty (and Mani D isn’t on the pitch) who takes it? |

Don’t think Big Reg missed many with his no-nonsense technique!! Seem to remember Stan Milburn being pretty effective from the spot as well. Dennis Butler scored a few in and around the first promotion season too. [Post edited 27 Jan 10:09]

I seem to remember Jones skying one over the Sandy Lane crossbar in a match against Bristol Rovers around 2004? It was in stoppage time with the score 0-0. |

He’s scored a few good, crucial goals recently since coming back from injury. |

I might be behind the times but is £6 for just a pie (if you chose not to have peas, gravy or curry sauce) just a tad expensive? My favourite on the old menu was the Traditional Pasty which is no longer available but never mind. |

I too thought the attendance was encouraging. Total respect for those Truro fans though. Lots of encouraging things on the pitch too. I’m beginning to think that, on the evidence so far, that Perry, rather than being just an adequate replacement for Beckwith, may actually be a slight improvement. Slightly concerned that Gordon looked to be struggling with a leg injury towards the end. Hope he’s fit for Tuesday. Nice to see a cameo from Tutonda too. Looked fit and raring to go. Two goals never seems to be enough though. If Truro had sneaked a late one it could have been squeaky bum time. Hogan is a good old fashioned stopper centre half so I suppose it’s asking a lot of him to turn into a new John Stones. Ours is the only game in the league this Tuesday so a chance to open a bigger gap on the teams below and perhaps be top of the league by 10pm. Nice prospect of a fit Mani D and Rodney rested and ready to play. We definitely need to take maximum points from the next few home games. Away form is great but there are difficult trips to the likes of Southend, Scunthorpe and Hartlepool still to negotiate. |

No EEL - Hogan deputising. Mani D and East on the bench along with Rodney. Pettit starts in midfield. |

Cost the club a fair bit of money if nothing else. |

Lee Grant given his P45 at Huddersfield. Gone with him is former Dale defender Paul McShane who was on his coaching staff. |

I know that Robbie Stockdale gave him a good contract. Mind you, he had previous in that respect. |

If Hornets win their game against an amateur team they’ve been drawn at home to Wigan. |
