 | Forum Thread | What's happened to Edozie at 15:32 28 Jan 2026
I though the club said a few weeks ago that Edozie was back in full training. If that's the case surely he's worth a try if Leo doesn't make it. Edozie can at least take players on & get round the back of defences. If we don't intend to use him then he surely must leave in this window. |

No good having quality if you don't have good attitude & fitness. TB undoubtedly has ability but he must apply himself better & work harder. A few years ago gifted players could get away with not being 100% fit. But the game has changed & now even the most gifted players can't get by if they are not full committed & fit. They are athletes now unlike many past players. |

Last time Leo had a groin problem 5 yrs ago he was out of action for 66 days & missed 11 matches. Let's just hope that this is not the same injury we cannot afford to lose him long term. |
 | Forum Reply | We have more chance of going up now than next season at 13:24 27 Jan 2026
We've made just one signing in this window ( apart from Bree coming back off loan). And it was a typical SR gamble, we've got Peretz on loan, he's totally unproven & possible Inferior to both Baz & Macca. I wouldn't bet against Macca coming back in at some stage & replacing Peretz. SR have mastered the art of replacing half decent players with rubbish. But providing it saves us money SR are happy, we know that their philosophy is to make money & not winning football matches. A very, very short sighted plan & doomed to fail. |

Not surprising that Leo didn't have many touches because just for once we were lumping the ball forward & he had no chance of getting involved. But compare him to AA, I can only remember him having two touches & that was the two chances that he fluffed. I agree with you I thought Finn Azaz did OK, he was definitely our most creative player & offered what little quality there was in the game. |

Leo is not just an excellent footballer he's got character, & a sense of fun, something most pro footballers lack. |
 | Forum Thread | Scienze injury at 14:28 26 Jan 2026
Word from the club is that Leo Scienze has a slight groin strain & early assessment suggest it's not too serious. Will be assessed this week, let's hope he's back soon we really are dependant on him, he's been the only bright spot so far this season. Come back soon Leo. |
 | Forum Reply | Bree straight back in for Pompey at 15:31 25 Jan 2026
Give TE credit for including James Bree today because he was excellent. Nice to see us playing with two conventional full backs & just two ctr backs we look much more solid playing that system. |
 | Forum Thread | Bree straight back in for Pompey at 10:56 25 Jan 2026
Strange decision. We've brought James Bree back from his loan & stuck him straight back into the team against Pompey. I can't work that one out. Also Matsuki in for Fellows. Thought perhaps Romeu would have been involved todayhe would have relished the battle. |
 | Forum Reply | Three or four, what do you think at 09:09 25 Jan 2026
What they say in a press conference isn't necessarily what they do on match day. He'll need to make sure that he picks players with BOTTLE because they'll need plenty of that at Fratton Park. |

Not sure about that. TE keeps telling us that he has to keep making changes if they are playing 3 games in a week, (i personally don't understand why pro footballers cannot play 3 games in a week, I used to play 3 games most weekends). I got a horrible feeling that he'll panic & revert back to 3 ctr backs but hope I'm wrong. |

I always respect your comments & normally agree with most of your posts. But on this occasion I will beg to differ, RF did do well for us when he first came but has offered very little this season. He had a problem with his attitude under Eddie Howe & was forced to train with the u21's for a long period before he came to us. We know that currently we have a culture problem at the club & can I'll afford to have players causing problems in the dressing room. We will never know exactly what goes on behind closed dressing room doors & can only guess at it based on the very limited information that goes public. But one thing if for sure RF was not going to get any better st his age so I wish him all the best but we will not miss him. |
 | Forum Thread | Slack Jack is back at 18:35 21 Jan 2026
Breathe easy guys. Slack Jack is back for tonight's match. But it does look as if TE has succumbed to using just 2 ctr backs. We've all been asking for that just a shame that Slack is one of them. But let's hope it works. |

They don't have better players than us but they have a much better manager / Coach (whatever you call them) & they are more Committed & Motivated That makes the difference between winning & losing. I hate to say it but I think it'll be another humiliating home defeat. |

Love your optimism Grumps. When was the last time Stewart managed to string together a few games. But we live in hope. |
 | Forum Reply | Alfie House on TE's press conference... at 14:58 20 Jan 2026
Just watched TE's press conference. There's nothing wrong with his logic but he's either not getting that message over to the players or the players don't trust what he's preaching. I think his problem is that he has a bunch of players that individually are not committed & collectively are not good good enough. |
 | Forum Reply | Tonda says he's NOT worried about being sacked. at 13:24 20 Jan 2026
Not sure Romeu is even in the dressing room. He's Not been included in the last couple of squads, not even on bench so unlikely that he's involved in the dressing room. |
 | Forum Reply | Are SR ready to replace Eckert? at 18:48 19 Jan 2026
No point even thinking about Thomas Frank until Tonda has gone. Did anyone see Tonda's after match interview against Hull. Totally embarrassing., talk about a Rabbit in the headlights. He should never have been offered this job it's far too big for him. Can't blame him for taking it but Total blame goes on SR for even considering him for the job. SRs's record suggests that they won't do anything about it until its to late. [Post edited 19 Jan 18:50]
