Actually, you can forgive that result as a freak but this, at home, against a team who are fighting relegation is pathetic

Here’s a clear, fan-focused summary of the Q&A plus exactly what was said about the stadium.

---

🎙️ Interview summary

In the latest fan Q&A, Christian Nourry (CEO of Queens Park Rangers) covered the club’s long-term strategy, finances, recruitment model and infrastructure plans.

🔑 Main takeaways

1) Long-term strategy

Nourry stressed the club is focused on sustainable growth, not short-term gambles.

Emphasis remains on data-led recruitment and younger players with resale potential.

He repeatedly framed decisions around financial discipline and stability.

2) Finances

QPR are working within tight constraints and must be careful with spending.

The model is built around trading players smartly rather than heavy owner funding.

He highlighted the importance of improving commercial revenue streams.

3) Squad and football side

The club is trying to build a younger, more athletic squad profile.

Recruitment is aligned with the head coach and long-term identity.

---

🏟️ What he said about a new stadium

This was one of the big fan concerns.

❗ Key message: nothing imminent

Nourry indicated there is no immediate breakthrough on a new ground.

📍 Loftus Road situation

His position in simple terms:

The club knows the current stadium limits growth.

However, any move or redevelopment is extremely complex and expensive.

Work is ongoing behind the scenes, but progress is slow and uncertain.

🧭 Linford Christie / new-build angle

He suggested the club continues to explore long-term options.

But he did not announce any new site, deal or timeline.

The tone was cautious — essentially “still working on it, nothing to report yet.”

💬 Overall tone

Honest but guarded.

Acknowledged fan frustration.

Emphasised the club will only proceed when it is financially viable and sustainable.

---

🧠 Bottom line for fans

QPR do want a better stadium solution long term.

But there is no imminent move or redevelopment confirmed.

Progress depends heavily on finances, land availability and viability.

For now, the club remains committed to careful, patient planning.

He was highly rated by Hearts. We need to be careful not to get the reputation of NOT giving younger players a chance.

Anyone add the opportunity to watch him yet?

Close to first team standard?

Would Morgan go out on loan if Varane is sold?

Field likely to go, if I read the comment by Dave Mac correctly...

I think they were spot on. Agree with most of what they say.

Kone is a good striker

The wide attackers arent doing enough

Julien needs to change the formation from time to time.

Call me old school but why haven't we peppered the penalty area with high balls today based on the fact that it's so windy?

Sorry but Dembele has been poor.

We've not used the wind this half to our advantage.

Really poor second half from us so far. We haven't woken up at all after the interval

Agree about Kone, doesn't look the same player as earlier in the season.

Dembele struggling too

Addressing a few points....

I am not suggesting we have downed tools. Actually, if you blood younger players, they have an awful lot to play for.

The philosophy is to develop and sell, in order to do that, the younger players need to be playing.

Unlikely to go up or down, for me not going down or being near a relegation scrap is a massive relief and progress.

The point of the thread was more along the lines of who would you give a chance rather than any negativity around the season.

My key 3 would be:

Walsh, as someone said on another post....not as much pressure on him and a perfect season for him to gain experience now.

Esquerdinha, with Larkeche out until next season he has the opportunity to shine or potentially see himself as 3rd choice (or sent out on loan) next season.

Kolli - has to take this opportunity.

Unlikely to go up or down....

Hopefully we will get a top half finished which will be massive progress.

Should we concentrate now on blooding younger players and giving them experience at playing at this level? Appreciate we are having to do that anyway at the moment due to injuries.

If so who would be the two or three players you would all pick that you would like to see given more time on the pitch.
