My Grandad was with the Americans in signals and landed on Omaha Beach in Normandy on the second or third day, going through France, Luxemburg, and occupying Germany with Patton. I only met him once. He had some good milo minderbinder like stories about running around Europe to procure alcohol, including bribing Senegalese sentries, and co-opting engineers to dismantle and move entire 'requisitioned' bottling plants to make good use of a source of Luxemburg brandy...with some infidelities along the way. Returning to St Louis on Christmas day 1945 to live with his new young wife (my grandmother) and his mother-in-law (my great grandmother) was very difficult...there was trouble. They were divorced when my Gran was pregnant with my mum, but she never told him. He ended up going back to Europe with the army in 1947, and served in Korea too, ending up a major. My mum found him and wrote him a 'you don't know who I am, but...' letter in 1994. [Post edited 6 Jun 11:49]

The intriguing parsing of Nourry speak this time is the word 'both'.
"We both feel that this is the moment for him to forge his own path elsewhere".
This implies Nourry and SDM were the only ones involved in the decision, and no other people - Calm, Cifuentes, Carroll, Hall, Hoos - were really involved.
I'm sure they would be for a first teamer, and this reflects SDM's status outside the main squad. |

We want fewer teams with parachute payments in the division, I think...so I don't want WBA to get up and be reboosted...so I have to hold my nose and agree with wanting Leeds up.
Sheff Utd were dire, and are rumoured this morning to be bidding almost £10m for Sunderland's goalkeeper. We don't need WBA being anothe clubdoing that in a couple years as well.
Conversely, maybe we do...to reinvigorate that £5-10m good championship player market. |

Another fasting mostly keto freak here. Only eat 11:30-7, but sometimes extend it to be social and sometimes constrict it by a few hours because I'm just not hungry yet. Although my appetite is huge once it gets going. Results: Bit more energy, bit less weight, a lot less likely to get diabetes, perhaps a little more likely to have heart problems with all the saturated fat.
How can you tell someone is a vegan / doesn't have a tv / fasts / is keto? Don't worry, they'll fckn tell you. [Post edited 7 May 10:37]
