Turfed over once Moor - Burnley Match Fred
at 08:06 27 Oct 2024

Which is why when you off Madsen, Paal and Anderson from the team the battle count goes up.

Amazing defensive show, but very, very little going forward. That said, if the ref was half competent and gave us free kicks for the fouls on Saito, Lloyd and Smyth, we may have created something.

However, judging by the Cov game a set piece going into their area may well have been another chance for them!

Morning thoughts after the game are that there is a chasm between the Prem and Burnley and another one between them and us. A great defensive display, but no threat going forward whatsoever. A decent QPR team (which this one is not) would have taken them to the cleaners.

An unexpected point, but the next two games are at home and we'll need to attack a bit more.

Huh? What?

He was dog turd like they all are. Missed a Dunne handball in our box and ignored GBH on Saito, Smyth and Lloyd. Useless.

Wow this is a hard a watch as was expected.

Burnley are really, really ordinary although their wingers have the beating of our full backs.

But, aside from the first 10 when we looked ok, this has been backs to the wall and nothing else.

Chair shocking today, Celar as expected, Dunne really poor, Ashby really poor.

Cook, Field and JCS doing well blocks aplenty.

But it is just a matter of time unfortunately.

45 more of attack v defence and men v boys.

...and all the action will be up the other end of the pitch...

Walking to the ground. Signed a third choice GK on am emergency loan to fill the bench. Dembele the latest to drop out with a "minor injury".
What an utter joke of a "professional" football club.

Pathetic.

Professional football is all about the first team and I have seen very little evidence that the Academy has moved the first team on in any single way for quite some years.

That money would be best spent elsewhere, surely?

"Young 'uns", I'll take that!

Talking of age though, did anyone else clock Clive's claim in his preview that he is still in his 30s? No way, no way; it's been a lifetime since he took over from Ron and Simon, surely?

I will be there. Mad, eh?

Expecting nothing at all, but hoping that sh1tty Scotty Parker only wants to win 1-0 or 2-0 at worst. Last time I was there Rowan Vine scored my all time fave QPR goal running the length of the pitch to shoot into an empty goal because Gabor Kiraly with his baggy jogging bottoms was up for a last minute corner to try to equalise.

No Frey bad, no Colback bad, no Paal - hooray!

Just dreading the next "minor" calf problem to be announced with the team news.

2-0 them. Promise from us, but ultimately huff and puff with no attacking threat whatsoever.

The football will ruin a good weekend away as per...

Morgan is not ready for a start and Lloyd is L2 standard at best.

Amazed people are calling for either to start.

And as to the nonsense about Chair? Jeez...

Yep, let's go to Turf Moor and drop the only player we have who actually knows how to keep possession. Great plan!

Who cares about that? Saito and Bennie have been better than him in their two cameos anyway.

Never said anyone posts crap. Everyone posts their opinion and opinions cannot be right or wrong; they are just individuals takes on things. I have no problem with others opinions whether I agree or not.

Always been this way with this board and that will never change.

If you didn't get it, it was all a bit tongue in cheek. He has utterly carried our clown club for the last three years on the pitch leading ALL the attacking stats and he will do again this season. He's not even played a full game this season and loads of people are already throwing criticism his way.

By his standards he had a poor 60 mins on Tuesday, but was still in the top half of performances in our team. Says everything to me.

As I say though, all about opinions...

Rather see Jimmy Dunne up there.

The kid has energy, but has no idea how to press and has no physical presence.. He cannot play a back to goal type game that being a lone striker demands.

We need to pray for Frey. He HAS to stay fit 'til January or we are well and truly fckd.

This.

F off the lot of you.

He's been out for three months and had two games coming back into a team in shocking form full of cowards. So, he's rusty. So he is trying too hard. So, yes, he made a couple of poor decisions yesterday. So he shot a couple of times when he could have passed.

BUT he is the only player who goes looking for the ball then faces forward 9 times out of 10. Yes, he'll pass the ball back occasionally, but his every being is to progress the team up the pitch. He'll even pop back into our half to get the ball and will then progress. No one else does that.

He is tenacious. He tracks back (when fit), he'll have more goal involvements that anyone else in this team and will top ALL of our attacking stats by the end of the season.

...and yet, 120 minutes in after 3 months out, its the same old crap from this Forum.

Sheesh, you really do not deserve the best player we have had since Eze, you really don't.

(A bit tongue in cheek, but only a little - how you can criticise him when Celar plays like he did. How you can praise Alfie Lloyd, who made Celar look brilliant or Morgan, who started fantastically brightly then faded into nothingness or KennyfckingPaal who has been shown up by a winger and an Aussie kid CM or Madsen who is the tallest wallflower ever seen?).

You will all miss him when he goes...

So much better than Paal there as was Bennie when he stepped in. The sooner we get rid of Paal the better; the team improved when he was off the pitch.

Celar - Nothing Again
at 07:13 23 Oct 2024

Celar was shite and has been since he got here, but anyone thinking Alfie Lloyd is the answer is just romanticising the need for a youth team player to break through. He needed to be at his current level, which is a L2 team on loan.

The same people think Kolli shoyld be given a chance and maybe that is true based on Lloyd and Celar being the other option, but I suspect he'll be out of his depth too. As great as Frey this season is, our striker options have gone backwards since last season and last season they were abysmal.

Relegation standard when Frey is not there and we can't rely on him to be for all season. That is 100% on the recruitment team.

All about opinions. Chair is not match fit, but "hiding" is just ridiculous. He is the ONLY one out there who actually went looking to receive the ball; everyone else just ran away. And don't start with the "he holds on to it too long" crap! 😠

Field blocked away as he always does, but he almost gave the ball away deep in our territory in the build up to the goal. Lucky boy...

Agree on Celar. Utterly shite. Terrified of the ball and petrified whenever a defender is within 5 yards of him. Warning bells should have been loud and clear when he is second choice behind Jan Mlacker for his national team. If Frey has a QPR "minor calf injury", he'll be out 'til the New Year and we might as well play Jimmy Dunne up there. Desperate times AGAIN.
