You are not wrong, late 80s and through most of the 90s the halftime scores would include the skates and cherries. Skates losing would be a cheer, cherries winning would be a cheer. |

To be fair I think I’m more likely not to be, one of the other things putting me off is it puts money into that cities economy which I hate doing. I wouldn’t got to a festival there or spend money in their shops as it sustains jobs for them |

Nope I fundamentally disagree with the bubble as it’s unnecessary and criminalises football fans. Besides it’s not the club I hate it’s the city. That said I’m perfectly accepting I might turn into a complete hypocrite and go when details are announced because the fear of not being their for a win will override my principles |

I think the “animosity” to Bournemouth is a big tell of sotonians who support saints, and out of towners. Growing up I don’t remember a single person who disliked them, the opposite in fact, most like me would be genuinely happy for them to do well and still are. In fact I didn’t even know there was even supposed to be anything to it until I was probably in my mid 30s. All anyone from the city has ever cared about, and will ever care about, is the pikeys to the east. Hell I’ve seen more animosity and aggro to spurs in Southampton than Bournemouth. |

The whole thing is generated by AI, hence why there’s so many mistakes. I’d guess some of it comes from forums like this that have threads on this topic and people have put forecast as a joke, but the wrong machine doesn’t understand humour |

What a fantastic result for the cherries, made up for them. Absolutely great to see them doing so well after the sh*t they’ve been through down the years |

Yeah Moran for Fratton I’d agree with, Ings less so, good player but didn’t really want to be here. Also on that list some of those are frankly bizarre, including Claus means surely you have to include monkou, and non of the center backs were even close to the quality of mark wright who’s comfortably the best I’ve ever seen in a Saints shirt. Also they’ve completely left out Sydenham from it too, and if you’re including some of those players then where’s David Armstrong (my second favourite player ever behind le tiss). I’m not arguing for any of those players inclusion btw, more to show ridiculous the list is. |

The vast majority of those aren’t legends in the slightest. Benali is a lovely bloke, a true mush and done some incredible things since he stopped playing but he was a liability when he played and most fans were on his back. Ward prowse is a skate who’s won an attendance award, and achieved nothing with the club in real terms. Lallana was at least part of getting us promoted but he was a rat faced c*nt who spoke ill of the chic on many occasions and forced a move so no he’s out. Bobby stokes god rest his soul had one of the most important goals in the clubs history but that doesn’t make him a legend. Mane, VVD and bale you’re basing it on what they did after not what they did for saints. Of that list I’d say the only real legends are le tiss, bates, channon, Holmes, Daveis, Paine and lambert. The rest are at best cult figures |

People paid for it? I built a fairly sold collection of 7inch singles robbing Woolies, had to be one of the easiest shops to rob. Remember one mush in the Portswood one walking in, picking up a microwave and just walking out the door with it and no one did a thing |
 | Forum Reply | Are You Happy With Saints Start To The Season at 11:29 19 Oct 2026
It's been a very good start to the season, we have only lost two games, we have the second best goal difference in the league, and if you take away the 4 point penalty we'd be 4th. Given how badly saints normally start the season i'd say that's excellent, and people should remember that this time last season we were in 15th. |
