“I’m not entirely sure what Julien can do to change any of our current woes. It reminds me of the time when Paul Ince, then manager at a struggling Blackburn side, inadvertently displayed his tactics notebook to the TV cameras just before half-time at Upton Park. On it was written the single word “Shoot.” I mean, it might be worth a try lads!
I think that they tried that against Blackburn. Wasn't it 21 attempts? (Reminder: one goal scored).  |

'Laid back' mentally and physically.
Good to watch an interview where the answers were not of the usual rehearsed type; they were entirely natural.
He seems to me to be just the sort of player that - according to his reputation - JS will develop successfully.

Trust the club on this one. Sam has been good for QPR and is well-liked, but, if there is a plan by the management that makes him a second-ranking player, he will not enjoy that after being both important and popular. What Sam wants also matters. |

In the first half I noted that the 'pressing' from our attacking players (on a night when mistakes would be made) was ineffective and - compared with what Burrell does - half-hearted.
Then there were the misplaced passes and hoofed balls out of defence... ...
Ah well. It was a point. |

As always, Clive's thoughts on the deal and the context of it are well thought through.
However...let's keep it simple.
The great majority of Southampton fans that have posted on the subject of Ronnie's departure have expressed regret and even anger.
If that is not encouraging, then one more fact should be - we KNOW that he can play! |
