Acts of violence in football now are commonly referred to as having an Osmasm. |

Keepers save the reason we got a point. Madsen the only forward thinking player that ever looks comfortable with a ball at his feet, that is worrying. Dunne and Cook have been immense, in fact the defence, Hayden, have all been decent. To me, pretty much all season, the defensive side has looked top half, whilst the attacking part has looked bottom half. That said, the goals scored/conceded stats say the opposite. It feels like Madsen and Burrell have carried the attack all season, the contribution from the three behind the forward has and continues to be woeful. I’m not sure there’s been a single assist from Smyth and Dembele in the Championship to date. Vale cameo, gulp, looked something like the player who started the season. He’s the only other player beyond Madsen who can find time and space, let’s hope he’s fully recovered this time. |

Has there been a law introduced that says no player is allowed to dribble round an opposition player? Ball control seems to be an alien concept. |

Same as me. My dad taught me to always listen to what other people say, even if you think most of it is rubbish, if there’s one thing said that you didn’t know, then that is to your education. It’s not the things you agree with that broaden the mind, it’s the things you disagree with. When I see people actively advocating the ignore button it does leave me with a sense of sadness. |

Minus 6 is a bit heavy chaps. To be honest, it did make me smile and probably a fair assessment of our away performances of late, with or without a full squad of players. The widemen are an increasing concern. Part of the problem is they all prefer to play in front of defenders rather than behind them. Not such an issue if they could retain the ball but Chair aside, they can’t. These players will never get the best out of Kone, he showed he was more than capable of putting himself about in the opening game v PNE but we have barely used him in this role since. |

With Cat 1 comes high coaching standards, possibly why the cozy cartel of yesteryear were less inclined to want to join that particular club. Think today might be the start of a gradual slow down after a good first half of season as the club take stock of what might be needed to progress next season. We need to progress to a side that’s comfortable in possession, we are nowhere near that at the moment. |

Vale situation is a mystery. He has that rare ability to find an extra second or two of space that you don’t see at this level very often. Had high hopes for him but his form dipped briefly and he seems to have vanished. I’m not sure even he knows his best position, that may be the problem. Another one who’s crying out for a central midfield role that doesn’t really exist in our set up. |

And a pleasure to meet you too. I think I need a hip replacement after standing for 120 minutes, you’re a fitter man than me! |

I’d get a doctor in who specialises in hamstring transplants. |

It’s particularly noticeable at this level that even if our widemen get a 3 yard start on the opposition, within the next ten yards they will always get caught up with. Decent pitch but at these moments it looked like those were running through treacle. Kolli was the only one in the front four that looked like a potential premier league player. I’ll reserve judgment on Kone until we actually get behind defences. |

Getting to the ground was like a walk through Chernobyl, horrendous soulless place. Imagine having to go there 23 times a season, I genuinely pity the West Ham fans. Three and a half hours since we left the ground and I still haven’t made it home. |

They just said biggest upset ever, no team from sixth tier has ever beaten one from the top. Good luck to them. |
 | Forum Reply | Ronnie returns, but is it the handsome deal QPR hope? – Signing at 09:28 10 Jan 2026
With JCS effectively finished, Morrison invariably in twinge mode and Cook, much as I love him, visibly rusting before our very eyes, this signing does make sense. I’m thinking FFP is fast becoming yesterday’s problem. I’m sure there must be someone who’s taking a points hit for very recent profligacy offences but unless it’s of Sheffield Wednesday ‘sorry you can’t have your wages’ standard, it doesn’t seem to be on the leagues agenda any more. Hopefully we’re moving to an era where, if your Directors hands can reach the bottom of their pockets, then fill your boots. Keep it under the radar perhaps, an unwritten rule, we might get a better standard of football back in the EFL. |
