Let’s say a Warnock or a Neil walked into the meeting, did a nodding dog act to get the job, then decided fck this, I’m doing it my way, the players see someone who’s his own man, started winning games, do you really think Ruben would kick him out? Owners want winners, players want a manager they respect. The latter will never last long when the managers a lap dog. |

If that’s right, that’s frightening. Have to say though, any manager worth his weight would stand at one end of the table, place his elbow in the horizontal and sweep the entire table into the bin telling them you won’t be eating this any more. Whether we like it or not, we can’t keep employing managers who let someone else wipe their arse every morning. |

If that were true I’d have thought any professional sports club would have shown him the door. Then again… |

Warnock scathing about what these players are getting away with. I can’t see JS surviving much longer. |

Late change of mind too. We decided we couldn’t be arsed with a Sunday evening meaningless match. Watching the warm up and listening to Sir Neil suggesting we’re too soft. Not far wrong IMO. |

Now you tell me that, even in the land of everlasting mediocrity, both Bristol City and Preston have been in the playoffs, that’s a low blow at a time like this. As for VAR, I must have been asleep, but if that is implemented in the Championship I’m going to be having a serious think about renewing the season ticket. What a time to be alive. |
 | Forum Reply | Heat Pumps at 22:17 6 Mar 2026
Admittedly I was told this by a British Gas engineer as they installed a gas boiler in our house 5 years ago, but he said that because heat pumps can’t heat up to the level of gas boilers, you run a real risk of bacteria like Legionella building up in the pipes with heat pumps. Something to do with them, at that time, only heating to around 50C compared to gas which heats over 70C. That is critical as once water hits the pipes it slowly decreases in heat and needs to be around 55-60C to avoid bacterial build up. As heat pumps only hit just above 50C at their maximum it means bacterial build up is unavoidable. Don’t know if things have improved since but if not, it’s not a risk I’d want to take. |

No football over Easter holidays and three week gap to plan a holiday before winter kicks in, the wife is made up. |
 | Forum Reply | Has the game gone? at 16:15 3 Mar 2026
He is 100% right but it’s up to the rule makers to bring in changes to negate the issues. We’ve been here before, I could have murdered Alan Hansen & Mark Lawrenson, get 1-0 up then strangle the life out the game with back passes to the keeper to pick up. For the younger ones amongst LFW, this is why you no longer have to witness it, the rule makers outlawed keepers from picking up back passes. The corners and long throw issues could be eradicated if they ban the attacking side from being in the 6 yard box until the set piece is taken. They should also revert back to the old rule whereby goal kicks have to clear the 18 yard box. It was meant to spread the game out but it hasn’t worked, it’s just encouraged the high press and no surprise that bigger stronger players have become the order of the day. |
 | Forum Reply | "Would benefit from a loan elsewhere...." at 21:39 2 Mar 2026
Fair comment, most of our loans are at clubs fighting relegation from the National League and seem to be punching even at that level. I’m convinced they’ll be an expose at some point, Esqerdinha being revealed as Albert Arkwright, who honed his skills barefoot on Camber Sands. |

Yeah, the one advantage of playing that shit, the opposition eventually take pity on you. Sheffield Wednesday and us in one three game week, lucky bastards. |

A lot of disenchanted players out there first half, a manager with any confidence in himself would have removed the left back before JCS sent him into isolation. Can’t help wondering if a dressing room coup at half time had Vale shuffled into LB, he played that role at Bristol. Starting to puzzle if many are seeking the sanctuary of the treatment room. |

We can’t keep giving players a free pass because of their age, he is simply not equipped to play football at this level. Send him on as many loans as you like, it ain’t going to happen. |

Indeed, it’s insane. Esquerdinha should be nowhere near a Championship game. I don’t care about the injuries excuse, after his first fifteen minutes of an abomination of a performance, JCS sent him up the wing and the entire team refused to pass to Esquerdinha. As for Saito playing in front of him, words fail me. The manager is on thin ice. |
