The fact his departure has not yet been announced as others were means we are currently in talks with him and his agent.
Of course they will be talking to other clubs too - However they may find that the streets of the football league are not paved with gold.
Interesting this one I think Marti would like to keep him but not on the sort of money he and his agent wants - Probably got a bit to go this one before we get a announcement.
Obviously contracts are confidential however when asked after Eze made a substitute appearance for England Phillip Beard replied he would be absolutely delighted if Eze started a game for England.
The deal with Palace always had a lot of add ons money based on appearances (as long as Palace remained in the Premier league) etc and I am guessing this was a big sell on clause my guess would be circa £2M.
I also believe the 20% sell on fee is for the whole amount not just the differance on any profit Palace may make.
That’s a good summary. I would like to see Walsh start next season with Asmir on the bench on much reduced wages mentoring him and also bringing Salamon on for the following season.
I guess it was only a matter of time - Hopefully his head won't be turned by this one. Stay with us and build on last season and better offers will come.....
Thank you Clive - Another great write up and pretty much spot on with my thoughts too.
I have been a big critic of Chair this season especially in the early part of the season for all the reasons you stated but no doubt he finished the season strongly and cares for the club. Fingers crossed he has a good lawyer and can get his situation sorted out over the summer.
Another great bit of business from Les in signing Taylor Richards who I believe is one of our highest paid players.......Just imagine how much better we could use that salary under the new regime.
Looking forward to listening to part 2 of the Patreon later today.
Thanks for the links chaps - Great memories indeed!!
Clive - I remember your match report being pretty special too - Is it on archive somewhere it would be a good day to read it again in the Garden with a large G&T.
Love this Clive - Fantastic read and pretty much spot on with my thoughts. A few brilliant "Clive Classics" in there too which brought a nice smile my favorite being:
"Jack Colback gets booked A LOT. There are more cards here than at Lucas Andersen’s gaff on Valentine’s Day."
I think it's fair to say Ipswich Town and Jason Dozzell pulled Les's pants down with Andre Dozzell. A very expensive mistake to add to the others.
