It was a great 3 points yesterday A battling result against difficult opponents It still drives me crazy ,how balls that are just blindly hacked away and ricochets and deflections always seem to fall to the opposition , we never seem to get any luck with loose balls ,it’s uncanny The other thing that had me bouncing yesterday was that prat with the whistle,it’s like we always seem to get the incompetent ones ,drives me crazy,he gave fouls that weren’t and didn’t give ones that were ….. but at least yesterday he was cack with both sides Cam and Ben were great yesterday and Franco was everywhere I’d still like to see Vig go long down the middle now and again ,yesterday there were gaps between their back 3 we could have tried to exploit But great result COYS |

Rushworth is creating havoc just booting the ball long straight downfield , classic route 1 stuff and Boro can’t handle it |

Coventry getting the ball forward and playing balls into the box very quickly and winning as a result,Middlesbrough with twice as many passes but most of them around the middle of the pitch going nowhere ,when they do go forward and wide quickly they are creating chances but Coventry look dangerous every time they play forward |

I think it’s a lot to do with the way the game has evolved, back in the day British keepers ruled their areas , great under the high ball ,getting stuck in,not just punching but catching the ball as well and it was foreign keepers who couldn’t cope with the high balls ,nowadays it’s rare to see a British keeper comfortable in the air ,almost like they’re afraid of contact and taking a knock The emphasis now is for the keeper to be more of a footballer , like a sweeper almost , playing passes out from the back |

Agree with you You’re probably right about Burgess marking the CH but we need to find an answer for marking tall forwards at corners even just jumping with them to put them off would help and be better than allowing free headers Oh and putting early crosses in up front would help too |

Agyemang had a free header later on too , Vigs pulled off a great goal line save with that one but we still allowed him the chance,we didn’t learn at all |

Good points Keith I lost count of The number of times we turned back from crossing positions about wide and slowed a fast break down and turned back in midfield ,we played into Derby’s hands yesterday ,made it easy for them ,a quick cross causes panic in defence but we were reluctant to play the ball in,whether that is down to Matos instructions or the player on the spot I don’t know, but you have to get the ball in the box to score and we don’t do it often enough They just sat back and waited for set pieces and scored 2 goals ,Eustace has watched us and knows Vigaroux,as tall as he is won’t come off his line for high balls , both their goals came from balls into the 6 yd box ,most keepers contest those but Vigs , who is a brilliant reaction save keeper and has saved us in games this season never does We conceded a mirror image of their second goal a few games ago when Stamenic failed to to jump against a tall player ,Cam should have been marking Agyemang |

Widell has to start before Cullen, now he’s fit again ,shows great energy, drive and ambition Watch the highlights tomorrow, the number of times Zan was waving his arms calling for the early cross ……which never came, time after time, he must be furious ,I know a lot on here are |

What they did was play for set pieces and from open play get the crosses in first time hoping for a break I think Eustace knew we’d baulk at quick delivery and was happy to watch us playing sideways and back ,knowing they’d have chances and they did and they took them Surely Matos saw what we saw yet allowed it to go on,we could have got something today if we’d have been more direct and that’s what hurts We’re not going to get anything from games by passing it back constantly and refusing to cross and being so negative |

The number of times I was shouting ‘cross it ‘ ,today ,we had plenty of opportunities to cross quick balls in but as you point out turned and played it back ,all that does is let the opponent defence get into position and their midfield to mark our players up WHY !!! Williams and Sheehan ball al right Please don’t let us see this again |

Very frustrating to watch,we’ve had plenty of the ball but conceded 2 terrible goals from a defensive point of view ,Derby’s tallest forward marked by Stamenic ? , who has been beaten in our box in the air before by tall players at set pieces, surely our tallest defender should have been marking him ,and he nearly scored another Also Derby have crossed into our box early when they break while we break at speed and instead of playing a quick cross into the box while the defence is retreating we stop and play the ball backwards allowing them to set up ,ludicrous, you ain’t gonna score goals by waiting to walk into the net ,like I said very frustrating You have to get the ball in the box to score….. it’s not rocket science is it !!!! And We can’t concede goals like that |

We’ve been very unlucky away from home a few times recently and deserved more , Derby might have a lot of forwards to choose from but what is their defence like ! We will Go there give 100% and Derby take us lightly at their peril ,we are well capable of hurting them and I hope we do COYS |

I think Fisher is a good keeper ,his awareness to come off his line is very good and he has good shot stopping ability,I think the tactics of Martin and Williams didn’t suit his game .because he looks a lot better since they’ve gone |

That’s exactly what we were saying first half , we took our foot right off the gas , we can’t afford to do that, one mistake and we could make it very hard for ourselves That said a good win and valuable 3 points, I thought Cam was very good today, he takes stick on here but he won everything in the air and was rock solid and calm today, one thing that concerns me though is Vigaroux being stuck to his line, not coming for and cutting out balls close to him in the first half ,we ended up scrambling a few balls away which he could have claimed , he did cut out a few crosses in the second half and looked a lot better Tymon had a good game and Stamenic was very good ,winning a lot of balls in the middle and big Zan laid some lovely balls off and took his goals very well Let’s keep this going COYS YJB |
