Dale will be travelling to Radcliffe Borough as part of the pre-season programme for the 2009-10 season, as Dale honour the Craig Dawson transfer.

When local lad Craig Dawson made the switch from Radcliffe Borough to Rochdale, part of that deal was that Dale would travel to Stainton Park for a pre-season friendly. No date has been set for this fixture as of yet, and this may well depend on whether Dale are involved in the post-season Play Offs.

Dawson was an unused sub for the recent defeat at Bournemouth and was due to be given his first team debut for the home game with Port Vale but was ruled out at the last minute after failing a fitness test.

Dale have played Radcliffe a few times in pre-season over the years, with a most notable 9-0 victory a few years back.
