Flynn and the management committee had agreed terms and a deal appeared imminent. But it seems that the committee were not impressed with the list of additions that Flynn was about to add to the playing squad. It appears that player/coach nick Cusack has already drawn up a list of nine players that he hopes to add the Vetch field squad and the management committee, happy with his choices, didn't wish to entertain any of the players on Flynn's list.
Realising that he wouldn't be able to bring in the players he had in mind, Flynn decided to turn down the clubs offer and the deal is now off. Flynn's decision to turn down the offer was accepted by the management committee and our sources tell us that both parties have separated on amicable terms.
With the management committee due to attend the "Fans Forum" at the Vetch tonight, I'm sure more facts will become available later this evening. As always we'll bring you the news as we get it and expect a full report on the events at the forum later tonight.
