To football players who really took offence to a tackle; years ago players used to threaten each other and really mean it. They would take it personally for the rest of the match. Now, players get knocked down by a breathe of wind, and get up with a sly giggle and wink at each other.
Bring back the old days because modern football is shite

They make us feel indebted For saving us from hell And then they put us through it It's time the bastards fell

I can't disagree. Modern footballers, well a lot of the time they are diving at the slightest contact and aren't at all hurt hence the soft reaction. When a really bad tackle goes in, even if it mostly missed they roll about holding their faces, staring at the ref through their fingers.

A right buch of wimpy cheaters.

For those of us who remember Tommy's "challenge" on Ardiles, it's gone from one extreme to the other.
