Sooo.. Right in front of me, Djenepo gets flattened , knocked out by Pope who had to go through him to get to the ball.??!.. Ref gives a throw in after consulting with his on field assistants Trippier and Burn .

What would have happened if it was the other end.?.. A free kick and a red card for our keeper that's what. Phucking disgusting

Again after our goal the ref gets surrounded by their whingy whiny players.. They were in his ear the entire game.

This keeps happening

The problem we have and i thought it a long time now , we will never be allowed to win anything simply because we are Southampton .
Unfashionable ,we don't rake in the money like the so called glamour clubs fit sky or the TV companies agenda..Even if by some miracle Che manages to actually score a goal and we went in front, they would have either ruled it offside, given a foul against us somewhere earlier and given a free kick to them . Or just made sure the otherside got an advantage to score. It's happening too often for it to be bad luck.

The N.U fans were loud but shhhed down when they kept missing and we got into the game more. ... However a fair few were digusting and prevocative ....dancing on the netting, throwing coins and with the old bill
Doing sweet f,a as usual .

Pretty pis d off right now

OK performance but its pretty straight forward now, we have to buy a striker or we are down. We can be as tight and as organised as we like but we have to convert the few chances we create. Newcastle gave the ball away a lot tonight but we failed to capitalise. Adams is simply not good enough. He is there to finish and he rarely does. Armstrong is a trier but his first touch is not good enough. Mara moves well but he has no genuine pace. Thought Alcaraz looked promising tonight, like Lavia he has time, but he has to use the ball better. Edozie is a bag of tricks but doesn't look so pays a lot of poor balls. Diallo does so may good things but has an amazing ability to put us in trouble with one pass. Orsic was very disappointing and DCC is very slow ie 2 yellows and gave away the goal. No idea why Jones played KWP right back and Salisu out of position. Very dangerous against a team who play down both wings. Ref was appalling again. Burn, Guimares and Longstaff all defend with their hands yet rarely got penalised never mind booked. Thought the crowd was good

The ref was horrible. Guimares should have got a yellow card for his elbow on Mara. In the replay he looked back before swinging it. Burn also when he took out KWP who blew by him. Pope should have been sent off for a ridiculous foul. Any field player does that to another and they are gone. Again the ref was horrible.

But as ALREADY SAID a million times, without a proven striker, we will struggle. Why we didnt by Chris Wood still baffles me. Well lets use the nest two games to try and find some scoring before our next PL game.

The little Saudi sh1te who did the waving after the sending off should be banned.

We were a bit lucky to still be level after an hour but we all know what the key moment was in that game. As soon as Adams missed it I knew we were toast.

We competed pretty well but the filthy Saudi money was always likely to tell. Their players are better than ours. Full stop.

One enormous question: We lost the game down our left. Nearly all their chances came from there. So why did our specialist left back sit it out on the bench??

As for the ref - the 2 handballs were correct but I think their keeper should have been booked + free kick. All the other Saudi snivelling made no difference to the result.

Oh and yes - we need to buy a striker to put those chances away or not getting to this final will be the least of our worries.

A strong performance against a more skillful and more organised Newcastle side. Rub of the green didn't go our way. Adams miss was crucial again. Not a bad save but finishing not good enough in the end. Thought ref was poor. I rate Persuad and would like him to start. Mara is too lightweight and wins very little in battles. Alcatraz showed promise but Orsic was pretty anonymous. We so need a goalscorer!

Oh and Dean Ashton is a clown. For Talksport, he said that Djenepo should have got out of the way of Pope. What a moron. If Djrnepo to out Pope, people would have been screaming their heads off.

If we didn’t have bad luck we would have no luck at all!

I thought Salisu had a great game at left back. He got very little support from the midfield, especially Orsic who looked a bit lost.

Central midfielders all played well but we couldn’t get the ball out wide enough so Djenepo and Orsic were spectators.

That miss from Adams!!!! The sad thing is I expect most of us expected him to miss!

A pretty good performance against one of the best teams in UK, at present, ruined by poor finishing and weak refereeing. There are lots of if onlys about this team. If only Adams could finish, if only Diallo could pass, although that could account for quite a few of them, if only Armstrongs finishing matched his outstanding work rate but most of all, if only we had a striker we had a striker!
You could also add, if only we had a bit of luck?
At least we are going up north with a chance of getting through maybe, just maybe that bit of luck could be waiting 🤞🤞🤞
