Probably the best Saints have played this term. Hats off to Ryan Manning, a sole error but, otherwise his finest performance for us. Adam Armstrong was outstanding and deserved a hat-trick. I felt sorry for Che Adams. He is not showing much at the moment but, in fairness, he wasn't given much to work with today. Despite the cold it was a pleasure to be in the stadium and Cardiff simply didn't get a look-in.

Well fair play to those lads out there today, as other than Fraser, I think everyone who started or came off the bench to participate in this game out on a decent display. As there were periods and plays that genuinely reminded me of the likes of Man City and Barca for how well we played the ball around them and left their players lost in the middle of the pitch. And both manning and A.Armstrong both were outstanding today, which is especially good for Manning with how much criticism he’s had recently. So overall a great display with only us not getting more goals today being about the only negative from it.

Although also fair play to the ref, who also had a great game, and played some great advantages, including the one to start the attack for our first goal. As about the only thing I though he could’ve done better, was the few throw ins that he and the AR’s had no clue about, looking a bit lost himself and not very convincing. But outside of that a pretty solid display from the referee and officiating crew.

A good performance and well deserved win. Murdered them for the first 20 minutes. Cardiff played some neat football but had nothing upfront. Our defence was solid. Only disappointment was the chances missed in the second half. We deserved 3 or 4 nil but missed some great chances to kill them off. Still worth the 5 hour round trip in the cold and fog.

Cardiff never looked like a team who until recently were in the top 6 They allowed us to knock it about at will Would have been a great day if one of the top 3 had dropped points
We saw a bit of quality off the bench as well In particular Aribo must be close to getting a start
Keep playing like this and we will do a Sunderland to somebody

Wow . Well worth walking and standing in the freezing cold, best ive seen us play this season. A.A was immense, i said to the bloke next to me that i reckon he will score a hat trick, just before he got the second . .
All the players deserve praise after that . Yes we could have scored more but we didnt need to .. the Welsh side had nothing ,
I dont agree with sfc ref that Ryan Fraser was poor , i think he was unlucky to have at least 3 shots blocked at the last second .
Jo Aribo looked good and Mara looked impressive too i look foward to seeing more of them involved more.
Great atmosphere, well done to our manager too . .Up the Bloody Saints !!

Bad day for the get Manning and Martin out gang lol.

Great day for Saints. Some of the passing was just superb. Bypassing Cardiff players for fun playing out from the back with short fast passes. Bazunu with not a lot to do was still Brilliant. His off the ball movement to create options to pass to is excellent.

Only gained a goal on all the teams above but a gap has opened with West Brom and Leeds and Ipswich have to play each other soon.

Very good all round performance, on a cold misty day and a joy to watch. Also need to give a shout to Manning for a very good display, Armstrong (A) two good goals along with his normal phenomenal work rate. However my MoM would have been Downes who was everywhere and behind every move, ably assisted by Shea Charles, they controlled midfield with ease. We do need more goals but hopefully we're on our way to keeping more clean sheets!
