Good win. Thought Albion deserved a draw but good to shade it and to hold on. Defence was excellent especially both centre backs. Armstrong took his goal well. Two good teams both playing out from the back and trying to get forward.

WBA presented us with the toughest challenge in this run of undefeated games and after AA put us ahead we had to dig in and grind out the result
THB was my MotM A couple of times he jumped head and shoulders higher than anyone else and never got phased by the pressure
It was a game were so many put in top performances
Don't you just hate the timing of the international breaks

Satisfying result and very happy for Adam Armstrong getting the winner - although it was close going into the last 15 minutes.

Hats off to RM for his flexibility over the last 6 weeks which has paid dividends - COYRs

Great atmosphere at st Mary’s personally I love watching the way the team play. Some of the passing out from the back makes it a nervy time but seeing the play build is amazing. It’s certainly miles away from the dross served up by selles and the best manager in Europe Nathan Jones. Yesterdays game was a great test, first half West Brom were content with letting us have the ball but they came out completely different in second half and got the possession stats back. It got a bit nervy at the end but the team ground out a result. Our challenge is not creating enough chances when we are dominating the game.

The ref let so much go. Holgate lost his shirt in one battle in the penalty area.. does that not count as shirt pulling!! The team spirit is real showing through we will need to win a few games when we are not at our best and this was one of them

This match could have easily been won by either side, equally as many have said, WBA were unlucky not to get a point we have lost and drawn with much poorer teams than them. Centre backs were outstanding today and defensive midfielders always gave them the option to pass inside rather than always push to the wingbacks. I thought Bree was less mobile than Manning but then Manning did nothing positive with the ball in an advanced position. WHA managed to keep Alcaraz, Adam and Stu Armstrong very quiet for most of the match but A.A. did take his goal well.

Good performance particularly the first half, Albion pushed five into midfield second half and denied us the space to pass the ball. They're a big physical side and we did well especially the two CB's to hold them off. Holgate beginning to look like a good signing and adding to our strength in defence & great to see Stewart getting some time on the pitch. Gap down to 9 points COYR !!!
