Wanyama Goes Off At Ipswich With Hamstring Injury Wednesday, 14th Jan 2015 21:00 Saints injury woes continued as Victor Wanyama pulled up in first half injury time and had to be replaced.
There seemed to be no problems as Wanyama chased down a ball going back to the Ipswich keeper former Saint Bart Bialkowski , but suddenly Wanyama pulled up clutching his hamstring.
The good thing is he stopped quickly and went down and made no attempt to try to play on and aggravate it, but the fact is he looks set to join Toby Alderweireld on the touchline for a while.
Saints injury woes of late have been a lot more than they could expect with Morgan Schneiderlin also missing the Ipswich replay with a groin strain, hopefully he will be back for Saturday.

Wanyama should have been replaced at halftime, so that really is bad luck as it happened just some seconds before that... Morgan seems to be out at least till Swansea according to reports, no chance for saturday.

Gutted for Vic as he has put in some stellar performances recently. Hope he is not out for long, but could be 3 or 4 weeks - just like Toby. Morgan has the same injury that he came back from the international break with - I think it is abductor ? Anyway, he is out for 3 to 4 weeks. We thankfully have able deputies in Reed and Cork, plus we have Long, Elia and a few youngsters that can slot into midfield and fill in the gaps. Don't be too disheartened guys - yes we had a bit of a bad run when we were hit by injuries and suspensions, but we turned it around by beating Everton 3-0 with a very makeshift side. Yes the next few games will be tough, but we are more than capable of achieving positive results. COYS :-)

If it was gonna happen better now than 3 weeks ago I guess.

Without Vic or Morgan breaking up opposition attacks and setting us on attack I don't see a lot of goals coming from the Saints over the next couple of weeks. I think RoKo won't be looking to play an expansive game without them in the team and '1-0 to the Super Saints' could become a popular song! Let's hope so.
