I don’t know if l can handle to much more of this playing out of defense we never look comfortable at all an accident just waiting to happen. In the end it turned out ok but we do not look at ease at all,but have to give the boys credit they got the result in the end.COYR

A win, but it was haphazard.
The defence is clearly not right at the moment and RM needs to get it right if we are to comfortably qualify for the play offs.

Phew. Entertaining I suppose.

Our poor start to the season was all about conceding loads of goals. We then, during the long run, seemed to sort that out. All of a sudden from Huddersfield onwards we are letting them in again. Including the cup, that is 16 goals in 7 matches. Not good enough.

Still, a win's a win - but I would settle for a quiet 2-0 win vs Preston!

Fully agree with Codge about the tippy-tappy in the box. It is just show-ponying for no good reason. It shreds the fans' nerves and is always going to give more chances away than it creates at the other end. The display at Liverpool was surreal in its sheer pointlessness.

What a great game to watch. Long drive from Somerset through lots of snow but well worth it. Really engrossing 90 minutes. Saints showed a huge amount of character to win. The first two Birmingham goals were such quick breaks and terrific finishes. I was in line with both of them and they were unstoppable. Armstrong’s goal was great. Superb flick by Adams and a great ball from Brooks. All a bit chaotic in the first half but wrestled back control aided by the sending off. Two good goals saw us in the lead for the first time but all credit to Birmingham to come back again with ten men. Eventually they tired as we passed the ball really well and wore them down. Deserved the 96th minute winner after all the pressure. 78% possession, 25 shots, 10 on target and 16 corners to 6 was a fair reflection of a hard won victory. With Leicester losing and Leeds drawing not a bad day! Subs all contributed to the win. Let’s please not mess up the next two home games.

Great result, with LOTS to work on.
Teams have worked us out, press the keeper and centre backs and you'll get chances.
One the VERY rare occasions we went long, we won a couple of knock downs and attacked.
We have to change things up and keep teams guessing.

Lots of hard work though, kept working for each other. I though Stu and Brooks were very good, and Will Smallbone battled well

I think Bree must start if he's fit now.

Glad we won, but we really shouldn't be making it so difficult for ourselves. Yet another struggling opponent to whom we're freely gifting goals!

Birmingham’s first goal down to Bednarek (ball watching) and Adam Armstrong (didn’t track back), but don’t know what Manning was doing so far up the pitch in the 2nd minute?! He struggled to get back! The shot wasn’t going in until Manning deflected it!
Birmingham’s second goal down to Bednarek and Manning, they didn’t communicate!”
Both their first two goals down our left!!
Last goal again down our left hand side again, Manning turned inside out, but Jack Stephens was more interested in wrestling his player rather than challenging to get the ball.
That said, some of our play was great to watch, COYS
