LFW looks ahead to a full Tuesday night programme of fixtures in the Coca Cola Championship.

The games are coming thick and fast now and we have a full midweek programme of Championship fixtures on Tuesday night to look forward too…

Yet again, those lovely people at the Football League are forcing fans to dig deep and make ludicrous midweek journeys, no more so than Blackpool fans coming to London for the clash with QPR. Barnsley fans are making a long an awkward trip to Ipswich, Swansea to Preston and Watford to Burnley. But in saying that, there are good few games this time around that are more than reasonable to the away supporter – Charlton travel to Palace for a South London Derby, resurgent Plymouth travel to Bristol City and Sheffield United travel to struggling Doncaster.

Elsewhere and I would have to say that Wolves home clash with Reading looks the game of the night. Wolves have still only dropped two points this season and have a three point lead at the top over Birmingham. Even at this early stage, these two have already broke away from the chasing pack. After a shaky start, Reading are in great form and have scored 10 goals in their last three league games, well, 9 actually until the linesman at Watford intervened.

Bristol City v Plymouth looks a goodun. Despite defeat at Wolves on Saturday, City are in 6th place and normally save their best form for their travels. Plymouth however, have been in great form recently. They were rock bottom of the table early doors, but 3 wins on the bounce have seen them sitting comfortably in 12th place and they are definitely a side in form.

The only team in the Championship without a home win are Southampton, but they will be looking to change that as Norwich visit St Marys. Saturdays win at Doncaster lifted the Saints out of the bottom three, but the Canaries are picking up some decent results on the road, winning at Plymouth and gaining creditable draws away at Cardiff and Barnsley.
